Three Cups of Tessa

Three Cups of Tessa. Thursday, January 6, 2011. Thursday, November 25, 2010. Sorry, this was supposed to go up two weeks ago, but our internet was down and then we were gone for 11 days. So, these are the highlights from a fortnight thither. I took a New Testament midterm. It was hard, but great. Nothing’s better than studying some synoptic pericopes with a little bit o’ exposition. (Just for you, Lindsay). Lisa: “Can you say with full confidence that there will be shampoo and conditioner provided? I lov...

Three Cups of Tessa: Meet Jake

http://www.threecupsoftessa.blogspot.com/2010/11/meet-jake.html

Three Cups of Tessa. Thursday, November 11, 2010. This is my friend who did three things that made him my friend:. 1 Grew a mustache just. 2 Makes jokes only at the expense of self-deprecation, but never at the expense of anyone else. 3 Posed for this picture. November 11, 2010 at 7:35 AM. I just LOVE jake. for realsies. Also, if i grow a mustache can we be besties in Galilee? November 11, 2010 at 8:36 AM. November 14, 2010 at 2:55 PM. Three Cups of Tessa: Ode to Charles

http://www.threecupsoftessa.blogspot.com/2010/11/ode-to-charles.html

Three Cups of Tessa. Thursday, November 11, 2010. I know I have a theme going of giving a list of three things, but when it comes to making a list of great things about Charles Wilson, no one on earth could stop at just three. His pondering pose from the synagogue (right). How he brings sophistication to a kippa. How he recites the Islamic months (Muharram, Safar, Rabia il-Awal, Rabia il-Thanni). His rapping skills (5 books of Torah). His dancing skills (as a bacterium). November 11, 2010 at 4:31 AM.

Three Cups of Tessa: October 2010

http://www.threecupsoftessa.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Three Cups of Tessa. Friday, October 29, 2010. We took a taxi to a synagogue and went to a service. Lots of singing and clapping. It was one of my favorite things ever. Plus, I went with awesome people.who are all normally very photogenic. Thursday, October 28, 2010. 1 Went to the Church of the Nativity. The oldest continuously functioning Christian church on. Earth and also the least functioning continuous snooze fest of my life. Admittedly, the church. Bethlehem University Student: "Good.". Dallin, Lin...

A Hess in the Holy Land: My Sojourn in Jerusalem: "Ring the Bells of Freedom!"

http://middleeastmatt.blogspot.com/2010/11/ring-bells-of-freedom.html

A Hess in the Holy Land: My Sojourn in Jerusalem. Friday, November 5, 2010. Ring the Bells of Freedom! Here’s a picture (there was a little boy drunk out of his mind across the street, by the way- grotesquely poetic):. Think about the conflict in the Middle East as you read the song. I’ll put some words in Mr. Jovi’s mouth and say that Jesus’ influence is implied in these verses ;). Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Or http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? always bring your own sunshine: Hot (Skype) Dates

http://jmmaughan.blogspot.com/2010/08/hot-skype-dates.html

Always bring your own sunshine. Saturday, August 7, 2010. Friday, August 6, 2010. Tonight, we had a skype date. I say 'date,' but really we'd just decided to skype tonight, so I'm not entirely sure it classifies as a date, especially when it was interrupted by my dad and his brother and brother's girlfriend. Regardless, it was quite fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I believe in the power of positive thinking. And that laughing is the best form of exercise. View my complete profile.

A Hess in the Holy Land: My Sojourn in Jerusalem. Monday, October 25, 2010. 25 Oct 2010: concluding a bomb.com week. Wow, what a week! We've been pretty busy! I suppose there's no need for small talk so I might as well jump right into it:. 1) snorkeling in Eilat; we took a bus early in the morning down to the Gulf of Aqaba and spent the day swimming! I love french fries, and I miss them desperately. Thus they tasted wonderful! I also walked along a weird (and long! And of course the grape juice bottles l...

http://jmmaughan.blogspot.com/2010/10/o-little-town-of-bethlehem.html

Always bring your own sunshine. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. O Little Town of Bethlehem. These are the people I ended up meeting: Zuhoor and Sister Lena. When we walked up, they were talking to each other. As friends. Proof that we really all can get along. While I was busy mingling in my own way, the boys in our group were mingling in theirs. To each their own I guess! You'd never have to take down your Christmas lights! Oh and all those people? Apparently the star was actually really disgusting; anothe...

always bring your own sunshine: Sabbath in Jerusalem

http://jmmaughan.blogspot.com/2010/10/sabbath-in-jerusalem.html

Always bring your own sunshine. Saturday, October 2, 2010. There are several things here that take a fair amount of getting used to. Like the smells of a city without laws against littering. Or the protein-filled, curry-infused, unfortunately-mushroom-laced food at the Center that still causes problems with many students' bowels. (Luckily not mine, or else I wouldn't have mentioned it.). School" here, and it's never "during our meetings next Sunday. When I first arrived here, I was astonished by how evid...

always bring your own sunshine: My First Jerusalem Experience

http://jmmaughan.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-first-jerusalem-experience.html

Always bring your own sunshine. Saturday, September 4, 2010. My First Jerusalem Experience. Since I am apparently abysmal at sticking to a once-a-day blog, I decided to transform this little experiment of mine into something different: a blog of my experiences in Jerusalem (and elsewhere). Don't expect anything close to daily. I'd rather be out seeing and doing than sitting at a computer writing about it. What an experience it was! Everything here seems to be that way - something I would never see in my ...

The First Day of My Life: April 2012

http://taliafinley.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Yesterday Riley HAD to study for his finals, so I decided that I would stay out of his hair and not distract him. It was so nice outside so I decided to ride my bike to the Creamery to get milk. We buy three gallons for five dollars at the Creamery and we go through them like crazy. I think its because we eat so much cereal (cereal=cheap), or maybe its because my husband has a bottomless stomach. And the next millisecond I thought, No. Not worth it. I'm glad my common sen...Siden...

The First Day of My Life: February 2012

http://taliafinley.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 24, 2012. Even though I loved our old house, we've moved to a new apartment. It has so many great things that we've never had! AKA a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, another bedroom, and its WAY bigger. Plus we get free rent, so why wouldn't we love living here? I never put up pictures of our old house, but it was just so cute- I had to take a few before we left. I'll put up pictures of our new house sometime. Also, we bought a new car. And the heater works in it. We're really moving up.

It’s taken a few years, but I finally managed to get enough money together to take a ride… not another major 6 monther, just a 10 day trip, but an adventure isn’t dictated by time, nor destination, but by what you experience along the way. Here are a few snaps from that trip and a mini 2 minute video that gives an idea of what finding the photo locations was like. One stage of the Ireland Photo Rally 2012. Posted in On The Road. I normally don’t write about our days in detail, but this blogpost is slightly different. I’d like to give you an idea about our day today. We don’t go out an awful lot, especially not with all 5 members of our family, but today we did. Today we went swimming. The activity was already postponed a day to give B time to process the plan and save him from getting unnecessarily stressed. Meanwhile B was lying/hanging on the bench as if it was a bed. The boys in action. After almost 3 years of unschooling (if...
