Wednesday, June 24, 2009. It has been a couple of months since I updated this blog. Much has happened. I am now almost 9 weeks from my hip replacement surgery and am doing very well. We had a pretty uneventful trip to San Antonio. We did pass by these rather unusual rock formations just east of Tuscan. Sharon had mentioned them to me, but no one else seemed to know what they were. Here are some pictures of our trip to San Antonio and the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Looks like an awesome road trip!

Wednesday, April 29, 2009. I had total hip replacement surgery on my left hip last Friday, April 24, 2009. It hasn't been too bad with pain pills, etc. So at some time during the operation, I remember hearing the sound of a saw, a drill, and a hammer. I remember saying to myself that the anestheseoligist had been right, you really could hear those sounds and it didn't hurt! I was more amazed than concerned. I must have fallen right back to sleep.
