http://picturingtheyear.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. What I did this Summer….Sailing on Catnip. We don’t always get to spend as much time on our little sailboat as we would like but this year it got closer…. Catnip went in the water at the beginning of June…. Sometimes sailing involves picnicking…. Sometimes it is busy out on the water…. Sometimes it is nice and quiet…. Sometimes we drop the kids off for a swim at the beach…. Sometimes we meet up with friends…. Sometimes we go out in the evening…. And stay for the sunset….

This year we watched from the sidelines and caught lots of candy…. I hope the sun was shining on everyone’s parade this Memorial Day. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Dogwood in the back...

Thursday, October 25, 2012. Color in the backyard…. O hushed October morning mild, . Thy leaves have ripened to the fall; . Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,. Should waste them all. . The crows above the forest call; . Tomorrow they may form and go. . O hushed October morning mild, . Begin the hours of this day slow. . Make the day seem to us less brief. . Hearts not averse to being beguiled, . Beguile us in the way you know. . Release one leaf at break of day; . At noon release another leaf; . We will sad...

September 15, 2014. Be Still – 52. Project is still-life family portraits . . . creating a photographic “portrait” of a person without the person! That sounds impossible, but I liked the idea and knew immediately that my subject would be my father. This past June marked the twentieth anniversary of my father’s death. Twenty years! How I wish we had known all this while he was still alive! Sometimes I wonder if he would be pleased that his secrets have been revealed. 22 thoughts on “ Man of Mystery. So in...
