I got the idea for these beauties from a sophy robson youtube video. Surprisingly, it's much easier to do than it looks. plus it reminds me of japanese gel nails (which i've always wanted, but i can't bring myself to pay that much for a manicure. perhaps someday.sigh). I found it kind of exciting to celebrate my first white Christmas. However, the weather was bitterly cold and I had to bundle up. And i'm in panic mode. i'm trying to exercise and eat healthier in a last ditch effort to get a rockin' beach bod. alas, it's not going so well. and worst of all.i have to write a speech. and even worse than that.i have to give that speech. in front of people. My friend grace is getting married in a couple of weeks. that's my third for the year so far. she and her fiance are getting married on governor's island. So, i'm off to ny (see you soon, eden! Here's the ring bearer's pillow i made for the upcoming nuptials. I'm one of two maids-of-honor for this wedding and you know what the means? After talking about them so much, I realized how much I miss them both and how sad I was to have missed their birthdays. So to make for it, I decided to write about one of our lunch and cupcake outings last summer. They took me this amazing cafe in Long Beach, La Creperie Cafe. I loved the Bohemian Parisian ambience.

Every time I come home, we go have tea somewhere and scarf down some scones. My mother has been on a great scone hunt since 1998 when she had her first scone at some unknown cafe in Portland.
