Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Blogging: The ultimate in anti-boredom technology. In the search for something to amuse themselves with, the bored student can find themselves turning to bad reality television, FaceBook, and 3.00 am trips to 24-hour McDonalds. My cure for boredom? Have You Hugged Your Server Today? Memoirs of a Gentleman. I've had some literal 'LOL' moments with this blog, most memorably for the video Rich Lohman Action Star. Great blog that reads like a page of well written, and very smart 'T...

The Excitement in Boredom: Approved!
http://excitementinboredom.blogspot.com/2010/03/approved.html
The Excitement in Boredom. Stories of the random stuff people find to do when they are bored. Monday, March 29, 2010. The dreaded Independent Professional Project Panels were today, and although many were left disappointed and must re-pitch their project ideas, I was one of the lucky ones who was approved. The instructors began to ask some simple questions, and as promised, they found all the flaws my project had within it. A few minutes later, and it was approved. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Views on the World Around Me: Face to Face
http://viewsontheworldaroundme.blogspot.com/2010/01/face-to-face.html
Views on the World Around Me. Friday, January 29, 2010. From now on, I'm going to only talk to people in person. That is, when they are someone I don't know, and I want to interview them for a journalism story. It turns out that my voice on the phone is very easy to say no to. And it must be my voice, because I'm always polite and accommodating. To be honest, this kind of gives me hope. In a world where everything is run by technology and the newest gadget, It's comforting to know that people still a...

Views on the World Around Me. Saturday, February 6, 2010. Bring on the Chocolate! So, I'm pretty sure chocolate can solve anything. Really. The first case I want to talk about is when you're stressed. You have about a million things to do including, but not limited to, school, homework, work, etc. You look at your agenda, and want to scream. All you need is to pop a little piece of chocolate into you mouth, and voila. You're a tiny bit better. Oh, I should probably mention that exercising also releases e...

Views on the World Around Me. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. The Relevance of Blogging. Before I started the Creative Communications program, I had never read a blog in my life. I thought a blog was really just another word for online journal. But now that I’ve had a few months of writing and reading them, I’ve changed my view on what they are and what they can accomplish. Here are just a few of the examples I believe show the relevance of blogging. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Is an especially prominent.

Monday, August 29, 2011. RRC: Two Years After, First Day for Some. I couldn't help but smile today as I thought of the new batch of Cre-comms filing into Princess Street classrooms for their first day of studies at Red River College. They may not know it yet, but they're about to have the best two years of their young lives. One theme that stood out for me the most as I wrote the speech was the type of people you. I know it sounds cliché to say, but I don't know how else to say it. Greg M. Berg. Once the...
