Thrifty, Crafty, Fun

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. I've said this before and I'll say it again: my husband is AWESOME! While I was visiting my parents this summer, he repainted my craft room. And let me tell you, this was no nagging and begging him to do it, he volunteered for this project. And then, THEN! Man, my old camera took crummy pictures.) I didn't think I minded the yellow walls, but once they were repainted I realized how fantastico it could really look in there. This is my happy place. Oh ho...

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun: July 2014

http://thriftycraftyfun-karen.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun. Friday, July 25, 2014. A Year of Baby. My daughter turned one year old this week. People always say, "It goes by so fast," and it is crazy to think of how fast the time really flew. What a blessing she has been! Happy Birthday, my sweet little girl. Saturday, July 19, 2014. When my nephew Henry was born, I made this quilt for him. My sister, Emily, already had his nursery decorated in a super cute way, and this quilt fit in perfectly with her decor. Thursday, July 10, 2014. Here's a...

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun: April 2014

http://thriftycraftyfun-karen.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun. Saturday, April 26, 2014. One of the many benefits of working at The Sewing Circle. Was that I was always surrounded by many talented and creative people. This year for Easter, I was so excited for the baby to wear a dress that was handmade by a teacher from the store, Jo Barley. Jo did such a beautiful job. Look at the intricate embroidery on the collar. I especially love the little bird button she included. The smocking was done by hand. Hand smocking! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun: Lost and Found

http://thriftycraftyfun-karen.blogspot.com/2014/09/lost-and-found.html

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun. Friday, September 12, 2014. Michael and I held a garage sale right before we moved from Saratoga, Wyoming to Fort Collins. Granted, most of the items I haven't missed, but for some reason I've been pining for a shadow box that was made especially for me. Oh how I regretted doing that. I don't know why, but whenever I was sewing that shadow box would pop into my mind. I remember that Dianne had told me I could take it apart if I wanted to. Why didn't I do that? Fast forward a few yea...

Thrifty, Crafty, Fun. Saturday, July 21, 2012. This blog is lame. It is so very lame, and I apologize. Remember my first post. I was afraid this might happen. It is sad when I see that one of the last posts I did was for my ninth anniversary. and I just celebrated my tenth. The funny thing is, I really enjoyed my short blogging career. I still compose posts in my head all the time. I still take pictures with the sole purpose of putting them on this (lame) blog. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Just a few thoughts. I have been a bit sick recently. I think we all know what that means. MOVIES, MOVIES AND MORE MOVIES! Needless to say, I watched Catching Fire twice already since buying it 5 days ago. I love this movie, this series and the books. I love the fact that my husband who would not go see it in theaters with me (thanks for going with me Beth! If you haven’t gotten that by now, guess what, I LOVE THIS MOVIE! 8221; “I would wear that – I do love butterflies! When I told Sam I wanted to watch...

Benjamin’s First Birthday! | Redwood Designs

Benjamin’s First Birthday! My neighbor and good friend Staci has a sweet, adorable, (almost) always smiling baby boy. He had his first birthday party this last week and it was so much fun! Laurel putting her hand print on Ben’s friend tree. The pirate themed party had hidden treasure, crawling happy babies, fun crafts and more! Lots of babies played with lots of fun baby toys! Ben was not as interested in making a mess of his cake. He was delicately touching it like, “what is this, mom? Lastly, gifts wer...

In exchange for my yarn wreath, I received a Christmas card ornament and some beautiful beaded bracelets. Nicole, the woman that I exchanged with has a business where she creates handcrafted ornaments (similar to the one above) out of an invitation. If you check out her website. Thanks for the beautiful gift Nicole! Links to this post. I picked u...

Saturday, March 20, 2010. I decided I wanted one of those cute camera straps but didn't want to pay $15-30 for one. So with left over fabric from a previous project (Even originally the fabric was only $1.50) I made my own at no cost! Fabric (You'll probably use about a 1/4 yard). Sewing Machine (Hopefully you already have yours threaded, otherwise you'll need that too). Then trace around your camera strap, I traced directly up to it- knowing I would cut extra for seems. And of course since you traced yo...
