Wednesday, February 25, 2015. The knitting frenzy is still going on and I finished something else - the Sorceress. Hood I already mentioned. As I'm writing this I suddenly think I know where I must have made the mistake (I must have increased for the hood part on the wrong side), but now it's done and finished, and I like it. I think it's not even visible in this photo, but the rib pattern on one side differs a little from the one on the other side. Well, it's still a beautiful piece :-). Pattern by Purl...

The Weird&Twisted Weblog: A Day with Weird and Twisted
http://weirdandtwisted.blogspot.com/p/day-with-weird.html
A Day with Weird and Twisted. This article was originally created for the My Day is Friday Blog. But after having spent so much effort documenting one of our days (a random one at the end of June 2011), and after having had so much fun, we thought it would be nice to give it a permanent page on our blog :-) So, enjoy! In the split photos, you’ll find Weird on the left side. And Twisted on the right. Well, as I said, I work from home. I switched to a standing desk because it’s way more healthy f...I’...

Friday, October 24, 2014. Delirious Diva, Done. After my exams last year I wrote this blog post. Describing my new knitting project and the yarn I spun for it. I worked on it here and there, was distracted by renovating the house, a yarn bombing project, and work, so it took me a very, very long time to finish it. But now it's done, and I already wore it to a wedding. I also wear it regularly at home, as it's so warm and cozy. But let me get back to the knitting stuff ;-) The pattern I used is Line Break.

Wednesday, January 21, 2015. New Addiction: Avatar (The Last Airbender). If you've watched the show or google a picture it should be obvious why I chose these colours. The yarn is soft and gorgeous, this time without any add-ins, and it's already listed in the shop. Now, these I liked a lot! Friday, January 9, 2015. The Age of Swords. My latest art yarn was inspired by one of my current favourite metal bands, Skálmöld. Anyway, I had a lot of fun at the concert, and enjoyed Skálmöld's performance and musi...

Lemon Trees and Dirty Streets: September 2009
http://lemontreesanddirtystreets.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Could it be about time for a post? Two months and some change, what's to report? It is overwhelming to contemplate catching up with the summer, so I'll let it drift. It was a good summer, tinged with the slight panic of having said yes to a project I wasn't sure I'd be ready for. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lemon Trees and Dirty Streets: October 2010

Sunday, October 17, 2010. There was a little brown bird outside the kitchen door, belly up. Claws tucked. Edie noticed it and said, "Look at the pumpkin! I told her that actually, it was a bird. It can't fly.". Why do you think it can't fly? She studied it for a moment longer, and pronounced it dead. Because it's dead. We gotta bury it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Weird&Twisted Weblog: Rainbow Yarns
http://weirdandtwisted.blogspot.com/2015/04/rainbow-yarns.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2015. I've been making rainbow yarns! The first one was a custom order for someone who wanted an Over the Rainbow art yarn with lots of sparkle and some bird charms and beads, to make into a wall hanging for her grandson. As I was working on the custom order, someone else asked me whether I've ever spun a rainbow coil / beehive art yarn, like the Tentacles. This was the second batt, which became the first yarn (the one with the birds), with lots of glitter. A Day with Weird and Twisted.

Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Kyprioth Art Yarn - Inspired by Fantasy Novels by Tamora Pierce. I love listening to audio books while spinning. I used to watch TV series, but I always miss something when I'm concentrating on the yarn, so I can only watch things I already know or have to accept that some things will escape me. After finishing the Gentlemen Bastards series (which I wrote about here. I returned to books I enjoyed reading years back - the Alanna the Lioness. Female characters in the books, all wit...
