Sew Full of Soul: January Sewing Projects!
http://sewfullofsoul.blogspot.com/2015/01/january-sewing-projects.html
My journal about sewing, knitting, and a return to real, feminine style. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. I did, however, make a skirt using a McCalls pattern (3341). I have had for a long time. It is such a basic skirt, which is exactly what I want for everyday wear. The denim has a slight amount of give to it and will work nicely with riding boots. I am also getting ready to sew another skirt using Burda pattern (7324), featured in one of my earlier posts. I hope to have pics soon!

Sew Full of Soul: Setting My Intentions
http://sewfullofsoul.blogspot.com/2014/11/setting-my-intentions.html
My journal about sewing, knitting, and a return to real, feminine style. Saturday, November 8, 2014. For me, it all starts with the fabric. I have loved fabric since I was a girl. In retrospect, it is a wonder that I never chose a career where I get to work with fabrics in some way because I find them enormously satisfying to look at, touch, and imagine as finished garments. I love plaids. I am pairing this taupe/blue one with the bottom lace to make a great top.I am a bit on the fence about goin...I bou...

Sew Full of Soul: New Year, New Threads
http://sewfullofsoul.blogspot.com/2014/12/new-year-new-threads.html
My journal about sewing, knitting, and a return to real, feminine style. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. New Year, New Threads. Well, 2015 is just around the corner. Bye-bye 2014. I will not miss you that much. I am on to bigger and better things. Well, perhaps this is an exaggeration, but let's hope so! I have been following along with the Craftsy class I signed up for. I think sewing one's own clothes would be so much easier with a custom-made dress form. Hence, Craftsy's Customize Your Dress Form.

Sew Full of Soul: New Patterns!
http://sewfullofsoul.blogspot.com/2015/01/new-patterns.html
My journal about sewing, knitting, and a return to real, feminine style. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Look what arrived in the mail today! And, I just ordered two more that were at a terrific price and are "retro," which really intrigues me. I love polar fleece and wear it almost daily around the house in the fall and winter. I just discovered that I can get nice quality fleece at a (fairly) nearby store and so I ordered this pattern for the purpose of making a few vests. Join me on this sewing journey!

My journal about sewing, knitting, and a return to real, feminine style. Thursday, January 1, 2015. Happy New Year's Dear Friend,. I have had these patterns and fabrics sitting here in my little sewing room and I am so excited to finally have taken the plunge to pair them together. Now, my soul objective is to dress me! Oh, I should mention that this time last year, I gave up buying clothes for a year. I succeeded, assuming you do not count socks and a few unmentionables. How do I feel?
