Aoraki/Mt. Cook | Through Mine Eyes

https://throughmineeyes.wordpress.com/2008/02/01/aorakimt-cook

The World As I See It. Here we have a photo of Aoraki/Mt. Cook. In New Zealand’s Southern Alps. This is one of Sir Edmund Hillary’s. In fresh powder that had fallen the night before and hung out at the base of the glacier in the shadow of Aoraki. Mt. Cook rises 12,300 feet and rivals anywhere in the Rockies in beauty and ruggedness. It was an awesome experience to say the least. By Matt on February 1, 2008. One Response to “Aoraki/Mt. Cook”. I love this image! Looks like an Ansel Adams shot.

Life, as we live it, in Lincoln. Laquo; Fair and balanced. Pardon me, is that an execution? January 2, 2009. This is a great list of the year’s funniest political moments. Obama channels Karl Marx. Palin goes rogue (and Prada). A guy slaughters turkeys on national television. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Life, as we live it, in Lincoln. Laquo; Ellen’s duet. Will on the steel guitar. May 22, 2009. Take it away, Will. Take it away. A rare public appearance by Will “Bleeding Gums” Reber at the Park Middle School jazz band concert. You may have to listen hard, but you’ll hear his guitar solo pretty well. Life, as we live it, in Lincoln. September 17, 2008. You be the judge. My friend Joe sent me this image recently. The resemblance is remarkable! It makes a lot of sense. As Joe said, “There’s an uncanny resemblance. When McCain came over to interview her, Hank probably fired up the propane grill and they enjoyed a rousing game of Boggle. The rest was history.”. Will scores an electric guitar. August 15, 2008. It’s just a Gibson Les Paul Epiphone Black Beauty. It’s no big deal. The case for the guitar cam...

Life, as we live it, in Lincoln. A couple of things from the Intertubes. October 6, 2008. This is a great article. On the Niobrara (although I take issue with the writer’s phonetic pronunciation of the name). She says it’s pronounced (nigh-oh-BRAH-rah). I have always pronounced it (nigh-oh-BRER-uh). Doesn’t mean I’m right. I’m just sayin’. She wrote a fantastic description of the Sandhills. I also loved this little gem:. Posted in Random stuff. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Life, as we live it, in Lincoln. Laquo; Pardon me, is that an execution? Ellen and Will play on Christmas Eve. January 5, 2009. Thank you, Associated Press, for compiling for posterity some of our president’s funnier lines. President George W. Bush will leave behind a legacy of Bushisms, the label stamped on the commander in chief’s original speaking style. Some of the president’s more notable malaprops and mangled statements:. 8220;Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning? 8220;I want to t...

Cellar Door

Friday, February 10, 2006. It feels as though time paused today. Each hour was a little emptier in our soul. Ever second slowed to the pace of our breath. Our sorrow eclipsed the sun. Without you here, the world is less captivating. And things seem less important. God took you- we would never have been. Ready to part with your graceful eyes. I already miss you more than tears convey. Independent, yet still our darling girl. May you dance in eternity with Pepper and Tess. Posted by sarin thyme at 5:11 PM.

Through The Mists

June 4, 2008 by Tokata. Posted in Random Thoughts. June 1, 2008 by Tokata. For all of my life (as far as I can remember) I have had a huge draw towards Ireland. I’ve been all over the world but for Ireland and a few other (though major) areas. In talking with others apparently this draw is pretty common. This in turn has me wondering why? What is it about Ireland that makes so many want to visit, feel that they are coming home? May 4, 2008 by Tokata. Posted in Random Thoughts. May 1, 2008 by Tokata.
