The Riddle of Poetry | Through the Lettuce
https://throughthelettuce.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/the-riddle-of-poetry
The Riddle of Poetry. August 3, 2012. Ainting a picture without a brush. Rienteering vast landscapes without a map. Ntering locked and forgotten rooms without a key. Asting forbidden flavours without food to savour. Eading between the lines without having to define. This is poetry to me. Earing music without an instrument. Rrhythmic, polyrhythmic, contrapuntal in kind. Ung in silence, carrying emotion. Aking melody without notes. Nderstanding without knowing how. Elping to sew a tapestry of ideas in.

September 20, 2014. Let your grace ripple out and unfurl. In the breeze behind me. As I hold your banner high. I confront these fears and apathy. I hear again my dreams. In a breath of wind. And I am reminded of your mercy. Your kindness that has brought me here. Proud to say, “I stand for you”. I run on; into the foray. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. This is an adaptation of the piece of music we wrote for my cousin’s wedding – minus the violin part! Calon Lan from Tim’s Scribble Album. I had forgotten all about this. It’s a blast from the past. It sounds so raw! March 8, 2015 at 9:41 pm. Absolutely beautiful and powerful. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. I am a home-educating mother of four children. We live on a small holding in Wales and my husband is active in local politics and the lead pastor of our church, Festival Church. Marmite for the Soul. July 28, 2016. This truly is a meadow in an old fashioned sense; rarely seen these days with clover and harebells et al. Although rarely seen, I am treated to this view of beauty from my kitchen door. Today it was therapeutic ‘marmite … Continue reading →. Good reads for children. Marmite for the Soul. Last ...

Steady Eddie (not his real name). Long Reining in the Long Rain →. The Sounds of Monnington. May 29, 2015. I was awake at 4.30am, listening to the dawn chorus, both mornings. On the first morning, it was not the birdsong that woke me but worry. What had I done? This photo was taken after they had straightened it! Miss Puddleduck slept on the luton and Miss Friendship was on a camp bed in the horse area. Longshanks, being a gentleman, was in the tent. I liked them. Their feathers were collected by the...

Long Reining in the Long Rain. One Year On →. June 15, 2015. The children have been exercising themselves and Little-legs today by building a make shift obstacle course. This is to help Little-legs with his steering. He loved the mental challenge. It is finally feeling like Summer and a little bit of pony P.E. seems wholly appropriate in this weather. The audience were a bit bored though! They were interested enough to stand close and watch…. 8230;but a snooze was called for. One of the best lessons has ...

Newer posts →. April 26, 2016. It’s time to make our home a home again instead of a passing place. We have been riding the high seas of frenetic activity and tonight marks the conclusion of that journey. I’m waiting for Tim to come home, put on a suit and return to the counting house to learn who will represent our constituency in the Assembly. Miss Puddleduck reminded me, we should not worry and I don’t. Her interpretation of Matt 6:28;29 was pure genius. 8220;Thanks, my girl! Than I can express. Knowin...

The Sounds of Monnington. Starting Small →. Long Reining in the Long Rain. June 1, 2015. What has happened to the days of wearing shorts and sharing music out of wound-down car windows? The greenery suggests it is here. The need to fill jerry cans with petrol for the lawn mower is here, but where is the sun and the warm days? I met a lady in a woolly hat, scarf and gloves today. She was a wise woman. She needed them. 8221; He made me laugh. Rich Tea Boy shared incredible facts about the monarch butte...
