Saturday, August 1, 2015. We've had a busy few weeks, and I think I can safely say that we're enjoying summer to the fullest. Chris and I also took the kids to a county fair. It was a new experience for the kids. We walked around, saw part of a fire juggling/acrobatics show, the kids played a couple of games, and we got cotton candy! The water is shallow for the kids, nice and clean, and there is nice soft sand. It's the best local beach we've found. The kids had a great time swimming together. It had be...

Through the Picture Window: weekend stuff

http://throughthewindowblog.blogspot.com/2015/06/weekend-stuff.html

Sunday, June 21, 2015. On Saturday I got grocery shopping done early in the morning, and then my parents came. We had a good day with them, and got to have strawberry shortcake with garden strawberries after dinner. I also got to go to the library by myself, and got Prodigal Summer. Kingsolver) and Day After Night. Diamant). I've started Prodigal Summer. Chris spent a few hours working on rebuilding a kitchen cabinet. I think we're looking at months (or years? Through the Picture Window: bits of winter and spring

http://throughthewindowblog.blogspot.com/2015/06/bits-of-winter-and-spring.html

Monday, June 15, 2015. Bits of winter and spring. Sorting through pictures on my phone offered a good opportunity to remember some highlights from winter and spring:. Chris took Henry away one weekend, and Celia and I had the time all to ourselves. We went out to dinner on Saturday night. We spent a lot of time by the fire. This kid has no idea what an amazing life he has. Fireside pooping. Spring came late, and we couldn't wait to get outside. This is how Spanish Immersion kids get off the bus on Cinco ...

http://throughthewindowblog.blogspot.com/2015/06/last-day-of-kindergarten.html

Monday, June 22, 2015. Last day of kindergarten. Celia has a half day today, for her last day of kindergarten. I can't believe the year is over. I can't believe she'll be a first grader now. First day of kindergarten:. Last day of kindergarten:. With her teachers, who are the best. (And Pico, the little bird who is the class pet. The kids love Pico.). In addition to all this, Celia woke up the morning after her kindergarten graduation with her first loose tooth! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Over 40 Problems} {School Schmool} {Fish} {Midlife Crisis} {Books} {Blogs}. So I have a broken tooth. It is so badly broken, they cannot crown it. I am really really really. Mad at myself about it. I chipped a smaller part of it off, and I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE DENTIST RIGHT THEN. But, I didn't and it broke worse, beyond repair. I have 3 options: pull it (about $200), bridge it ($3000) or dental implant ($5000). Guess which one I am going for? And Speaking of Books. Several of...

Atlanta Running Mom: May 2013

http://www.atlantarunningmom.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Run for Life 5k. Well it’s been a few months since my last race, but I’ve been upping my mileage again these past few weeks and was just itching to get back out there again. It was pouring rain when my alarm went off Saturday morning, but I wasn’t going to lose out on my registration fee. It mean it cost a whole $20 y'all. I’d deal with getting a little wet. Geez, these people must use $20’s to wipe when they run out of toilet paper too. That got him moving. Place in my age group.

Thursday, January 3, 2013. Quick Hello - Welcome 2013. Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy New Year! I'm not going to do a long post with lots of link-backs and pictures, but I have to give credit to 2012. It was a quite an amazing year for our family. Lot's of new places, races (even some PR's), and fun times together. We were happy and healthy, and checked a lot of items off our lifetime to-do list. Wishing all the best to you and yours in the upcoming year! Links to this post. Happy Feet 2...

Sunday, December 2, 2012. Respectable 5K and Thankful Day. When we stayed with our friends Kurt and Krysti for the Soldier Marathon. Naturally we talked a lot about running. Somehow during the conversation, we managed to. Convince them to join us for a Turkey Trot couple weeks later. Always the bridesmaid, I finished 2 overall female by just a hair. 5k's are never cute. After I finished, I looped back to meet up with Krysti, and took over the stroller duties for her so she could really race it in. Mr Blo...

Saturday, April 26, 2014. The Baby, the Boston Marathon, and Other Good Things. Hey all, I’ve since upgraded to the double jogging stroller since the last time we met. Jingle Jog 5k in December. We welcomed our sweet little boy, Bryce, via scheduled c-section on 11/12/13. He is the snuggliest, most chilled-out baby ever. His big sister just loves him to pieces too. Within about 3 weeks I was able to walk/run a 5k race with my mom and the kids. I competed in a true 5k race around 7 weeks post-partum.

PROMENADE STAGES - 06/09/2008. A quick review of the day would be: FANTASTIC. A longer review would be:. Stage 3 and 4. Only damp now, so a quick tyre change to intermediates from the wets was the call – see what happens. A bit quicker and a lot more enjoyable, the car now pulling a lot stronger after the engine work that had been done. Stage 5 and 6. Stage 7 and 8. I think he is out to get us? Stage 9 and 10. Through the wind slope. Every traveler finds his road. April 20, 2012. For all those who enjoyed reading the blog, and for everybody who likes traveling, we wanted to let them know that we are building a new travel website in www.210countries.com. Something between a blog, a travel guide and a meeting point. It’s still on the firsts steps, testing and trying new things, but we are already pùblishing there. And the next post is about Sierra Leone’s beaches:. Sierra Leone’s beaches. The Sun in my Forehead.
