From Seed to Sauce. Thunderhead Gardens is located in the scenic and fertile Moiese Valley of Western Montana. We raise jalapeno peppers, chile peppers, cherry tomatoes, herbs, and winter squash for the Western Montana Growers Cooperative. And seed crops for a Fedco Seeds. A chipotle pepper is a red ripe jalapeno that is roasted and smoked using mesquite wood. We do the smoking process along with cooking and bottling at Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center.
