Williams Lake's Thunder Mountain Speedway, operated by a non profit society, is a first class facility that draws some of Western Canada's most prestigious racing series. Thunder Mountain Speedway is one of many popular Cariboo attractions and provides a significant return to the local economy. Thunder Mountain Speedway is home to such classes as Street Stocks, Pro Stocks, Mini Stocks, Tough Trucks, and the ever-popular Crash-to-Pass (or hit to pass) series!

Thunder Mountain Running Club est. 1977! Next race is the Sierra Vista Paul Lenio 5k on Sunday September 13th 2015. Registration will be on race morning from 6:15 to 7am and the Run/walk will begin at 7am. Race starts and ends at the Pueblo Del Sol Country Club at 2770 S St. Andrews Drive, Sierra Vista AZ.
