The Road to Self Diagnosis and Healing. Turning my back on the medical profession. Today I went back to the doctor to get the result of my blood test, although I already knew the outcome. I had blood drawn for my own repeat thyroid tests at the same time. As they test B12, CRP, Ferritin and Folate at my lab, I knew my B12 would be over their reference range. The Road to Self Diagnosis and Healing. Feeling like I did something wrong. I’ve never done anything like this before! I ended up with an “opiate pack” and scuttled back to my car. I was still shaking by the time I got home. Why? I think part of it was the fact that I was going it alone and doing this without my GP’s sanction which is still a bit scary for me. I’ve spent a large chunk of my life doing as I’m told (I know that’s probably hard to believe, but it’s true! Identify injection site. Check.
