Sunday, June 3, 2012. Silence, solitude, boredom. Timmy just left with the youth group on a service trip to Joplin, MO. This is one of the first big trips that i haven't gone on with the youth group. im kinda bummed. Joplin has been so important to me, and im thankful that our students are having the opportunity to go spend some time there helping with the recovery effort. Im gonna miss my sweet husband try to make the most of my week alone, bacheloretting it up. Maybe i'll even get a thoughtful blog out.

Monday, September 20, 2010. So, at zoe institute, we get to have free haircuts whenever, and one free color. so for my first color i requested ombre. i wouldn't have probably ever known what ombre was if it weren't for my dear friend taylor who put it up on her blog (see the "taylor does my hair" link on the side over there). Anyway, taylor even sent me instructions for exactly how to get it and so i finally convinced some classmates to do it for me today and i LOVE it! I've NEVER colored my hair before!

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Or dont. whatever. So im trying not to get my hopes up, in light of all last week's broken dreams, but its looking like i get to start school NEXT wednesday! We're still not sure how exactly it's getting paid for, but the cosmetology school owner said, "ehhh, come on in! Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but it's SOMEthing! A Journey To God's Resort. Jan 28, 2008. Dead Cat Part Two. Many of the air ducts had been pulled out and ripped up from the cats living under there and so I just assumed it was insulation from within the duct, but the more closely we looked the more we were unsure. Before my family left town, I finally caved and had my dad look in the basement to make sure once again that there were no dead cats anywhere in our home. You may have guessed it already, but this time it was indeed a dead cat! Jan 23, 2008.

Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Our pastor, bill hauser, went with a team to haiti on monday, they were planning to do a preaching convention and help at an orphanage and im not sure what else they were planning to do. tuesday evening, an earthquake hit haiti, the epicenter of the earthquake is located between the orphanage bro.bill's team went to work with and port-au-prince. obviously this changed the focus of their trip. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. I'm super lucky. Almost as soon as I graduated from Cosmetology School, I started working in my first salon! It's been so hard to build clientele and balance that with loving my husband and leading our high school girls' Bible study and, of course, all my hundreds of hobbies (reading, knitting, songwriting, blogging(? Tuesday, August 24, 2010. As surely as the sun will rise. So much has been going on! The coffee shop i've been working at closed down the day before yesterday. im super sad about that, but on the bright side it's really encouraged me to go back to school for real. so i've been getting applications out and debating about whether or not to work while im in school. Timmy and i also found a house we're really interested in. we get to talk with the owners on friday, and im really hoping that will work out!
