Active Reading: Chapter 3

http://tiarra30.blogspot.com/2007/03/chapter-3.html

Thoughts on the story and questions, as well as active reading. Friday, March 9, 2007. In this chapter, the magical realism is the insomnia and amnesia that everyone seems to get. It is possible for people to get insomnia and amnesia but it isn't contagious as the book makes it seem. Rebeca's condition, in reality, wouldn't have been caught by a whole town of people, but the magic comes in of how all the towns people have it and say it is because of Rebeca. Expansion- The way the family grows over the ye...

http://tiarra30.blogspot.com/2007/03/chapter-7.html

Thoughts on the story and questions, as well as active reading. Tuesday, March 13, 2007. The magical realism in this story is how yellow flowers fall from the sky right after Jose Arcadio. Death It is possible for yellow flowers to fall if someone to drop them or to fall from trees if flowers are on them, but for there falling to be caused by death is magical. The Liberals lost the war, and Colonel Aureliano. And his friend Colonel Gerineldo. Taken away. He says he wants to die in Macondo. I'm not going ...

Active Reading: Chapter 2

http://tiarra30.blogspot.com/2007/03/chapter-2.html

Thoughts on the story and questions, as well as active reading. Wednesday, March 7, 2007. For this chapter, the magical realism seem to be the affects of the children who are born out of incest. It is thought that children born out of incest will have many defects and disabilities, but in this chapter they are being born with parts of animals. This is a sort of reality for children to be have defects but not this extreme. Seems to be changing a lot in this chapter. He at first seems to be very strong.

Thoughts on the story and questions, as well as active reading. Monday, March 12, 2007. Is shot in this chapter but yet he does not receive any kind of injury. This is magical because there is no way someone can be shot without any kind of bodily injury or at least. Seems to change the most in this chapter. He is at first liked by everyone, but then turns into a "monster" putting the town in danger and wanting to go on a killing spree. His true colors are hatred and being an abuser of power. Sex with h im.

Active Reading: Chapter 5

http://tiarra30.blogspot.com/2007/03/chapter-5.html

Thoughts on the story and questions, as well as active reading. Monday, March 12, 2007. The magical realism in this story is how all Armanta's fighting for Pietro was pointless, because they come together anyway. But the magic of this occurrence is how Rebeca was the cause of this and Armanta was trying to get rid of her. Hoc est simplicissimus," Jose Arcadio buendia said, "Homo iste statum quartum matieria invenit". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. AP English-Ms. Brown.

Aureliano shows that he is in love with Remedios. He proves this when he takes the time to care for her, and teach her when she is unable to do it for herself. Rebeca is also another one in love. She shows great affection to Pierto whenever she can to prove that she really wants to be with him. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
