Arduino and everything related. Entries by tag: xbee. August 20th, 2009. Currently on week two of a robot project featuring an Arduino and Xbees for communication. Wrote control software in C#/Mono (works in linux and windows) that controls the arduino remotely. The motor driver and motors are all set up. Planning on ordering some OD green UHMW plastic from an online store sometime next week. Then it's body building time :). Powered by LiveJournal.com.

First ardweeny project - Arduino and everything related
http://arduino-related.livejournal.com/2417.html
Arduino and everything related. January 19th, 2010. I built a range sensor for a group that would have to interface with an older electronic system (at a later date) and relay some information back to a PC. Came up with a smallish Cube shape that has an Ardweeny (to negotiate with the unknown hardware at a later date), a Sharp IR range sensor, Xbee Xbee explorer, and 5v external power. Demonstration software, measures distance and flips from "Vacant" to "Occupied" at a set distance.

Handheld communicator - Arduino and everything related
http://arduino-related.livejournal.com/1989.html
Arduino and everything related. November 8th, 2009. Working on a handheld communication device of sorts. The hardware is all functional (i'm happy) and the software is coming along. I was thinking. how cool would a distributed commo network be? Still haven't figured out the keyboard situation yet, but i'm thinking a 2nd touch screen with a translucent keyboard layout under it. Something that can fold out of the way. Has anyone come across an easy to use mini-keyboard? 2009-11-08 02:27 pm (UTC). Ohh, a th...

It moves! - Arduino and everything related
http://arduino-related.livejournal.com/662.html
Arduino and everything related. August 23rd, 2009. Ok, i couldn't wait until the next paycheck to order plastic for the hull. So i started by tracing all the major robot parts and spending a work day puzzling the parts together. I wasn't happy with it (even though it was a good idea) so i started building a prototype body with cardboard (oooh, so advanced). Came up with this:. His guts kept finding their way into his treads (ouch) so i built sides to the basic platform:. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

Arduino and everything related. In response to the vote. March 31st, 2010. Purchased a Seeeduino Mega, very pretty. Also a solar shield (cheap! To play with. A panel from GoldMine-Elec is connected to it now, can recharge the battery in a day. but it doesn't power the arduino during recharge, just discharge. Perhaps it needs a better solar panel? Ok, so. solar ideas. I saw this camera. What else could benefit from self-recharging? Powered by LiveJournal.com.

Ardweeny - Arduino and everything related
http://arduino-related.livejournal.com/2139.html
Arduino and everything related. January 8th, 2010. Just bought a couple Ardweeny's from Solarbotics.com. It comes as a kit with maybe a dozen parts for under $10 (plus shipping). Soldered it together over the course of one L4D2 vs game. during the loading parts. If anyone is looking for a cheap replacement for their arduinos or perhaps something you won't feel guilty leaving permanently installed. you'll love these things. Package came in the mail! The parts laid out for inspection. Wow, those are tiny!

What do? - Arduino and everything related
http://arduino-related.livejournal.com/2714.html
Arduino and everything related. March 6th, 2010. I've recently hit the ceiling on arduino for a project. Has this ever happened to you? Detailed results viewable to: All. What do you do when you out grow your arduino? Graduate to bigger AVRs. Buy a Mega and keep using Arduino. Network two or more Arduino's together. Jump ship to ARMs or something else outside the AVR family. I will never out grow. my precioussss. 2010-03-06 10:39 am (UTC). 2010-03-07 06:02 pm (UTC). 2010-03-07 08:11 pm (UTC). They are in...

Tutorial: i2c SRAM for the Arduino - Arduino and everything related
http://arduino-related.livejournal.com/1414.html
Arduino and everything related. Tutorial: i2c SRAM for the Arduino. September 6th, 2009. External RAM for the arduino? This one is easy, once you get the part. I honestly could only fine one supplier of DIP style i2c ram, Digikey had some from NXP but NXP says it is discontinued. The date on the datasheet is 1999 (/me giggles). The RAM works very well though. I will give you everything you need to get this tiny ram chip up and running, without needing to decipher the datasheet. 221 US on 6 Aug 09. Void m...
