The Niemi Family – Olympia to New Zealand. What fruit is this? 2 September, 2007. Yesterday I got this strange fruit in a gift basket. It’s about the size of a plum, but longer. I’m flying from Dunedin to Olympia tomorrow morning, for a 3 month stay. 2 hours Dunedin – Auckland, 8 hours in Auckland, 12 hours Auckland – San Francisco, maybe 2 hours there, and then 2 hours San Francisco – Seattle, where Kaya will pick me up for the 1 hour trip to Olympia.
