Täytyy sanoa, että joissakin asioissa huomaa vaan olevansa LIIAN VANHA :-) Hollannissa on pari käytännön syytä, minkä takia tällaisia 3-kympin tienoille ehtineitä ei paljon yliopistoissa nähdä. Ensinnäkin opintotuki loppuu kaikilta, jos olet ehtinyt jo täyttää 30-vuotta. Life in the Low Lands. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Hairdresser is one of those things that you'd rather import to your new home country. I've been now twice at the hairdresser in the Netherlands, but whenever given the chance I still visit my "old" one in Finland. Life in the Low Lands. Friday, July 12, 2013. We are soon leaving to Finland driving our car through Scandinavia. The luxury of traveling with as much stuff as possible is rare, but I'm assuming the load the other way will be way more :-) Here are anyway some of the important stuff that we are going to bring with us. Life in the Low Lands. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. The one racing bike that lives with us. After that, we did few biking trips around 40 kms in the surroundings of Utrecht. It was nice to see the country from a different perspective, while going through country side, forests and hills (yes, we found even those in these flat lands! Life in the Low Lands. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Lauantaina hektisen opiskelun aloitusviikon päätteeksi seurasi ensimmäinen kerta elämässäni kun osallistuin juoksukilpailuun juosten. Kävellen tehtyä Naisten Kymppiä ei siis lasketa :-) Kyseessä oli meidän kulman takaa lähtevä Bunniks Mooiste eli Bunnikin kaunein, jossa sai valita kahdesta matkasta: 6,2 km ja 12 km. Valittiin realistisesti se 6,2 km, ja aika oli häntäpäässä, mutta se ei menoa haitannut! Tästä seurasi ainakin seuraavat hyvät asiat.

Life in the Low Lands. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Amsterdamissa tulee käytyä hävettävän harvoin - viime sunnuntaina oli kolmas kerta reilun kahden vuoden aikana täällä asuessa. Syynä oli ravintolavierailu sekä saksofonisti Candy Dulferin. Keikka. Ravintolana toimi pimeä mesta nimeltä ctaste. Ideana on illallistaa täysin pimeässä tietämättä mitä eteen tuodaan. I just received a question of how the Dutch people celebrate New Year’s Eve.
