Thursday, May 7, 2015. To Grandmother's House We Go. And greetings from the UK! It's a lovely summer's day in England.aka rain, rain and rain. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Delta (I don't usually fly this airline) - definitely much better than United and American. I really enjoyed their safety video (see below) . definitely a lot more entertaining than the usual ones. But Virgin Atlantic was AMAZING! Don't get these little bags anymore.at least not in economy class! Anyways, back to Stone!

Friday, May 8, 2015. The (Not So) Secret Gardens at Trentham Estates. Note: The charming people of Staffordshire refer to eachother as "duck" (for adults) or "ducky" (for children). It's a friendly greeting - not uncommon to pay for your groceries followed by a "see you Duck! Sunday, May 10, 2015. On Saturday, Nick and I went with our friends Ken and Carol to visit Bridgnorth. A quaint little town on a hill near Shropshire (about an hour away from my grannie's). We had never been before and so glad Ken and Carol surprised us with such a lovely day trip! We parked the car, and walked up the (many) steps to high town to get some good views. We later learned that the steps were built for donkeys since they were the only way to get goods up to high town! View of "High Town".

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Popping into London to celebrate 9 years together. Nick and I popped into London for the day on Monday for a little taste of this beautiful city and to celebrate our anniversary. Stone Train Station.isn't it gorgeous? We started in Piccadilly circus then proceeded to Saint James Park. There were so many tourists walking about! I commented to Nick how, when sitting on a bench, you could easily hear 10 foreign languages being spoken in this park alone - the joys of city living no?
