South paw (southpô) n. Slang A left-handed person, especially a left-handed baseball pitcher. Friday, December 20, 2002. Mark Kreidler of the Sacramento Bee has a column. At ESPN.com reminiscing about Pac Bell Park. Now the Giants will just have to go to their fouth West Coast World Series in SBC Park (or whatever). For me, the news that SBC was changing the Pacific Bell name was the worst news of the off season. It was bad enough when we went through this with Candlestick. What are they thinking? This d...

South paw (southpô) n. Slang A left-handed person, especially a left-handed baseball pitcher. Thursday, May 29, 2003. Stephen Shelby pointed me towards an article by David Cameron (from StrikeThree.com. Which I finally got around to reading today. David updates us on the status of seven of the A's draft picks from 2002, and why the new drafting philosophy isn't the cornerstone of the Oakland franchise (it's the pitching, of course). And on the same topic, David Pinto linked another review of Moneyball.

Blue Jay banter as well as other interesting Baseball conversation. Monday, August 08, 2011. Brett Lawrie era starts with a Victory over Orioles. That didn’t quite happen, but Lawrie did wind up 2-for-4 on the night with a pair of singles. He probably would have had a 2nd RBI too, as Rasmus was trying to score from 2nd on the play (he was 2-for-4 in the 6th hole), but was beaten at home on a fantastic throw from left fielder Nolan Reimold. 101 IP, 7H, 1ER, 0BB, 10K. Go figure. Blue Jays Official Site.

Blue Jay banter as well as other interesting Baseball conversation. Thursday, October 28, 2004. Thanks to USS Mariner. Who pointed this out but Baseball America. Has the list of Minor League free agents. The Blue Jays have 23 players who are on the list. The guys I think who have some value are: Bob File, Michael Nakamura, Simon Pond, Glenn Williams and Anthony Sanders. Most of the other guys are more or less minor league position fillers.
