Las Flores: March 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. And here's Luke and my nephew, Gunner, forming their very own baby band version of "One Two, Buckle My Shoe". Unfortunately, the harmony needs a little work. Please ignore the brief nose picking - he learned it from his brother. Links to this post. A picture of the cake. The beauty of a "construction" cake is that it can look like crud and that's totally okay. My sister with the little kids. Ready to go out. He even got gel in his hair for the first time. Links to this post. I was...

Las Flores: May 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 30, 2009. I am now the mother of a two and four year old. No more babies here. We took a trip up to my cousin's house in Houston for Memorial Day weekend. The kids had a blast swimming in her pool and playing in her HUGE house. We opened presents at our house Friday morning (Luke's actual b-day) and had our "cake" (doughnuts) before driving to Houston. Then Saturday we had cake and presents for Luke with the family. Here's birthday morning at our house:. I love how Luke is just smiling duri...

Las Flores: August 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2009. Just wanted to share an activity I did with the boys today and that we have done before that they both enjoy. We call it "Mail Man". We started off by making a mail carrier bag for each of them. I found this in a book - you just cut a strip off the top of a brown bag, fold it in half, fold down the top part of the bag, and staple the strap on. Then the boys got to decorate their bags with markers and stickers. And finally, we each got our own box and opened up our mail. This is a...

Las Flores: June 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Disclaimer: For whatever reason, my blog is not cooperating with me and letting me move the pictures around. In the interest of keeping my sanity, the pictures are just a jumbled mess (kind of like my garden). Check out this cantaloupe - it's huge! Lots of squash growing! This bed looks a little unorganized, but the watermelon and cantaloupe vines grow like crazy and kind of go wherever they want. We also have squash, peppers, basil, and lavender. Dave built these beds early this ...

Las Flores: November 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 23, 2009. It's like he was going to reach for one more book and just got so tired and passed out in the process. We did get a picture of the boys with Mrs. Claus though. Calvin went to a great pirate themed birthday party at the CC science and history museum, complete with a scavenger hunt, and we ended up with these pirate costumes that the boys had a great time with. Could it be next year's Halloween costume? Links to this post. I was going to sell it, but Luke loved it and just wanted...

Las Flores: October 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 16, 2009. Dave came home from Lowe's with a gigantic pumpkin last weekend and was very excited to carve it with the boys. The boys, of course, were excited to help as well. They were very intrigued by what was inside the pumpkin. However, neither one would reach inside to get the seeds out. I figured Calvin would be that way because he has never wanted to feel the inside of the pumpkin, but I was sure Luke would give it a try. Nope. Okay, so really, the boys just watched as we de. After s...

Las Flores: February 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. Trip to the Lex. Today, Dave and I decided to take the boys to see the U.S.S. Lexington, which is a decommissioned aircraft carrier that has been turned into a museum. It even played a part as a Japanese ship in the movie Pearl Harbor. Pretty neat to see but we had no clue why they were onboard an aircraft carrier and there were no signs to explain. I took pictures anyway, because it was, well, different. Here's Luke in the ship's "brig". It was really just a little thing t...

Las Flores: July 2009
http://steph-flowers.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 10, 2009. We found a great place to take pictures in downtown Round Rock. Waiting for the parade to start. We had great seats right by the road, but in the shade so we didn't sweat to death. A rare family picture. My mom bought the boys sets of matching shirts. After the parade we went back to my sister's house and hung out for awhile. That evening my aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandmother came over. We had a cookout and went on the slip 'n slide (even me - it was fun! Links to this post.
