A Useful Link and Some Polemic. Originally posted to http:/ ticom.livejournal.com/. Http:/ www.iirg.net/nebbia98.pdf. SPECTRUM USE SUMMARY: 137 MHZ-10 GHz. Compiled by NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION ADMINISTRATION. I was chatting with my friend and fellow RF hacker "CJ" a few nights ago. He observed that scanner hobbyists these days appear to just download frequencies off of scanner sites, and don't do spectrum searches to see what unlisted stuff is traveling through the ether.

Transitioning into liminal space (. Transitioning into liminal space. Anyway, I've never done work with sheet metal, or even really thought about it. What's the best way to do that sort of thing? Do you cut out pieces with a torch? What kind or torch would I need? I have a feeling the little propane one I have wouldn't do the trick if I'm using sheet steel. Speaking of what I'm using, what's a good compromise between durability against weathering and expense and ease to work with? Post a new comment.

For those who are looking for frequencies, here are a few generalized tips to help you find what you are looking for. You should have an idea of potential bands to search through from on your research on Radio Reference and the FCC. Back in the days when Radio Shack had the Police Call directory on the shelf, you could check the Consolidated Frequency List for the proper allocations. A similar list is available here.
