The Cauwe Family: April 2011
http://cauwefamily.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 29, 2011. Nic, Caton, Steph and I participated in Hell. I mean, Hell Run - 3.45 miles and 12 obstacles, in the heat of the day with one water stop. The race lived up to its name! I felt like I was in Special Ops training. All smiles before the race. They gave us super hero capes . as if that was supposed to help. My co-workers Steve and Tiffany. These two completed the Super Hell course, which was almost 8 miles. Amazing! These photos were taken by Brightroom Photography:. He was so proud.

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. In September, Nico's favorite engine made a stop near Austin, so of course, daddy and Nico made a special trip to the train station. I'm now 17 weeks and next week, we get to find out the sex of the baby! Other than awful morning (all day) sickness that lasted until week 15, things are going great. We're Back to Blogging and Nico's Got News! It was a loooooong hot summer, but we are back, and Nico is ready to tell the world that he's going to be a big brother!

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Mini-Trip 1: Lost Pines. We stayed at Lost Pines. With our friends the Caseys when Nico was about a year and a half old and loved it, so we decided to go back. The resort is beautiful and it is made for kids (big and small). Each night, they have marshmallow roasting on the big fire pit. Nico loved his smores! He also loved the water slide and went over and over again. He even went once all by himself! Liv in her sassy swimsuit. Mini-Trip 2: Camping at Canyon of the Eagles.

The Cauwe Family: December 2011
http://cauwefamily.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 20, 2011. This year, we had a small family birthday party for Nico and a few neighbors and friends stopped by. We decided to keep it small because of Nico's reaction to the attention at his party last year. Well, we were right about keeping it small, but we made the mistake of singing Happy Birthday. Our talented neighbor made two dozen Thomas-themed cookies and they were almost too pretty to eat. Yep those are real tears. The blue icing was a hit! And, Maya went for the chocolate.
