Running the race....: Betty and Vicky
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2015/04/betty-and-vicky.html
Saturday, April 4, 2015. I write about Betty and Vicky occasionally. They are now secondary school students! They passed their PLEs with scores of 21 and 20 respectively which, isn't great but is pretty dang good. They were accepted into boarding school in Kangole. Thanks for those who were praying for them (and me! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. I've lived in Uganda for more than five years now! Sometimes it amazes me and most of the time I wonder what the heck I'm doing.

Running the race....: Struggles of being a single female in missions
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2015/04/struggles-of-being-single-female-in.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Struggles of being a single female in missions. This fellow missionary nailed it. Accurate and funny. Check out her blog: 20 Struggles of being a single female missionary. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace. Running the race....: October 2014
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 23, 2014. One of my favorite things about living in Uganda is how beautiful and diverse this country is. With my friend Rachael visiting I took the opportunity to see a few of my favorite places again. Here are some more of her pictures:. The Nile river squeezes through a rocky gap only 6 meters wide then drops 40 meters down. Pretty impressive to say the least. Monday, October 20, 2014. Lots of singing and dancing. It was a very entertaining day. Thursday, October 9, 2014. This old gen...

Running the race....: January 2015
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 12, 2015. Why do I even bother? I'm a bit fed up with it all today. Now, taking a step back. This family has gotten treatment from me MANY times. Several times, when I've tested and gotten a positive for malaria. So treated them. They also have heard my. So, why, after they called me and I came, do they just do what they want anyway? I know they are ridiculously poor and don't have money to just throw way. And I think I have proven myself trustworthy in the past. Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

Tom (well guy) and Kodet (CLIDE guy) explaining to the community the land dispute. On the upside the ladies gave me another necklace. :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Running the race....: December 2014
http://atimeasthis.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. I liked this blog post and not just because I suspect the background picture is Uganda. It is stuff I regularly feel and struggle with. Please read: God with us. I'm headed out for several nursing calls today. A bad burn (9% full thickness) on a 8 year old boy needs to be redressed, a 5 year old with a deep abscess, and a bunch of other odds and ends including a review of family planning for several ladies who asked me to explain it again. Lord, help me to honor you! Lord, even...

I'm running this race of life in Uganda, East Africa. I'm a nurse suffering from role crisis as most of my work is that of a physician. I am under qualified and ill equipped. However, my God is not. And He has me here for a reason. My job is to get up in the morning and submit to Him. It makes every day an adventure. View my complete profile.
