Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Last Pregnant Lady Day. On Wednesday mornings, we open the clinic for prenatal visits. Today, 97 pregnant ladies came for ultrasounds, routine check-ups, vitamins, and treatment. The ladies usually bring a host of sick family members and friends too, so Wednesdays are busy days in clinic. It's a bit comical to see so many pregnant ladies at once. I think we should stick pillows under our shirts so we don't look so out of place on Wednesday mornings. Grin. Friday, July 11, 2008.

Monday, August 4, 2008. Back in the US of A. Just wanted to drop a quick note that I've made it back to the States and a thank you for your support throughout the entire summer. It was a long and eventful trip back with several hiccups, but after a week of traveling here and there I'm finally settled back in one place again for a few days. Monday, June 30, 2008. Santa Lucia, Honduras: Day 1 in the Clinic. I helped deliver my first baby yesterday! It was exciting and surreal. My mouth literally dropped open as the shoulders came out and the rest of the baby. 9 lbs—quite big. The mother was really impressive too; it was her 6th child and she barely groaned. I thought participating in my first delivery would scare me from having kids. She made it look so easy! A few experiences from my first day in clinic:. Examined an open inguinal canal.

I'm packing Katelyn up for her return trip to Australia on Thursday, which will be proceeded by her mission trip to the Phillipines. I am so excited for her, but will really miss her again this fall!
