Saturday, September 7, 2013. Brett's All-Star team actually made it all the way to the State Tournament in Bakersfield! Brett had a great season and it was so nice to see him get to compete again. Thank you Jesus that he has fully recooperated and you cannot even tell he was ever in an accident! This is a picture of the boys running through the dunes in Pismo at sunset. Brett and Cody's team had a tournament in Pismo and the boys had lots of fun after the games with their friends on the beach.

Saturday, June 4, 2011. Nicholas and Cody on the Track. Once again Nicholas and Cody ran track for Nelson this year. Nicholas competed in the 800, long jump and 4x100 relay. He placed 4th in the Clovis West section in the 800 and his relay team placed 2nd advancing them to the district finals. Sunday, December 19, 2010. Castro Family Mission- Operation Water Well. Last summer, Neil and I both read a book that our church was going through together. It is called The Hole in Our Gospel and I think will change the life of anyone who reads it. At least that is what it did to us. It convicted us very deeply and left us asking, "God what can we do? Wednesday, February 22, 2012. We started the day with waffles topped with strawberries and cream cheese. Then we finished the day with a special candle lit dinner of ribs and corn bread topped off with special Valentine cake pops for dessert! We are so blessed that Jesus loved us so much that He chose not only to give His life for us, but also that he has showered us with the abundant love that we get to share everyday! Thursday, June 28, 2012. Adoption Update.now we wait. I have heard that Jamaica is very slow, but I am praying with all my might that we will be able to pick up our son next summer while I am on vacation so that I will have plenty of time to spend with him once we get home. Neil is hoping he will be home by this Christmas. :). So, if you want, you can join us in praying that Jamaica will move swiftly on our behalf (I spoke with one family who had to wait 5 years when they were adopting from Jamaica!
