Saturday, 7 March 2009. Otter ferry, loch fyne. This is one of my favourites of Andrews images. It is taken from outside the Oystercatcher on Loch Fyne. The trees are very recognisable and the beach curves round into a sand spit which reaches a long way into Loch Fyne at low tide. The Oystercatcher is well known round here as the pub on the beach. Tuesday, 24 February 2009. Today we have a visitor from glasgow, John Wetton Brown who painted this picture which is called "fenced in". Andrew is taking him on a tour round the village and the area so he can come up with some of his quirky images of Tighnabruaich for his show with us in May. Wednesday, 18 February 2009. There was a bit of a gap in postings as it took us several days to work out how to access our blog. Thank you sally and austen for setting it up. The valentines show was great - well attended, delicious dinner afterwards at the Burnside and we sold 6 pictures plus there is local support in the village to send the water colour of Barack and Michele Obama to the White House! Thursday, 5 March 2009. Goat Fell, Arran. This was Goat Fell from Ardlamont Point yesterday evening. The sky was heavy with snow though it rarely settles here thanks to our friend the Gulf Stream. Saturday, 21 February 2009. This is one of our pictures by Jolomo. It was painted round the corner from Kames looking back towards Tighnabruaich with the cottage at Blairs Ferry in the foreground.
