If you pick certain foods, they are bound to have a beautiful backstory. To think about where your food comes from is one thing, but to know the story of the person passionate enough to change their lifestyle in order to produce that food? That is priceless insight into what is on your plate. This film was brought to life with our good friends Marjorie and Kendall from The Cook's Atelier. Tiger in a Jar. Model: Quirine at NEXT PARIS. tiger in a jar

http://tigerinajar.blogspot.com/2013/01/this-girl-pure-magic.html

Is pure magic. I have never met someone who so easily conjures up characters, made-up worlds, and whimsy - all the while making you the most delicious lunch you have ever eaten. Her talent truly seeps into every aspect of her life. We feel very lucky to call her a friend, and love that it all started with a chance meeting on the street, can you imagine our luck? Also, she rocks the pixie cut like no one I have ever seen - our own modern day Jean Seburg. January 28, 2013 at 4:23 PM. Amen to the pixie cut.

http://tigerinajar.blogspot.com/2012/06/and-just-like-that-we-are-back-home.html

And just like that we are back home. Sitting at our computers that haven't been turned on for weeks. Waking up to summer and being reminded of how inadequate our air conditioner is. Outsides the leaves are bigger, much bigger, than when we left. China was grand, but after a while home starts to trump grand, which made sleeping in our own bed last night after weeks of new rooms and new beds an absolute dream. (Although our pesky friend jet lag made sure we didn't sleep too long.). June 21, 2012 at 9:09 AM.

http://tigerinajar.blogspot.com/2013/02/it-is-crazy-to-think-how-long-ago-this.html

It is crazy to think how long ago this trip. Was, but when we watch the films. We shot during our time in China it seems like we are just about to sit down to a delicious bowl of cut noodles, chopsticks in (novice) hand. We haven't talked much about this trip and I think it boils down to a few reasons - the main one being Matteo. February 14, 2013 at 2:53 AM. Love your work, and Matteos song, I am going to share this with friends on my blog! Thank you and happy valentine, if you celebrate!

tiger in a jar

http://tigerinajar.blogspot.com/2013/03/it-is-shocking-how-much-time-we-have.html

It is shocking how much time we have been spending in the kitchen lately. Really, quite shocking. Which does not have much to do with the rest of this post, except to say if we start talking in recipe format, please forgive us. (Also, the pictures - it's like we have a baby that we keep taking pictures of, only our baby is food.). What we wanted to dust our floured hands off for is to announce a videography workshop. Check out his latest film. It is unbelievable) and Mike Martinez. Photo by Nadia Dole).

Hard at Lunch: Out with the Old

http://www.hardatlunch.com/2014/01/out-with-old.html

The blog currently known as 工作午餐. Thursday, 16 January 2014. Out with the Old. First things first - Happy New Year / 恭贺新禧 to all! We're going to pretend that I have pre-meditatively decided to publish this first post of 2014 perfectly situated between the Western and Eastern New Year celebrations like the delicious filling of a Christmas leftovers sandwich, and not that I'm frantically trying to catch up with post-holiday life. Interestingly, this time of year also marks the TWO YEAR (! So I'm fixin' it.

Omnivore's Paradox: March 2011

http://omnivoresparadox.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Bean Enchiladas (Veg Friendly). The dish that I can absolutely eat until I'm sick: enchiladas. I've loved them since I was little and last night, as a birthday week present for myself, I cooked bean enchiladas for dinner. An easy crowd pleaser, my mom and I have often made hundreds of enchiladas for events, and it never takes longer than an hour or so. So, here is my easy, fool-proof recipe for enchiladas:. Bean Enchiladas (or meat if you want). 1 can of refried bean. Spanish c...

Tuesday, November 2, 2010. High Tea, Transvestites in Australia and a Pleather Jacket. Taylor met me at my bus and we slowly made our way to her flat on the inefficient night busses. A brief stop at Star Kebab, an indian restaurant, for chips with curry finished the night and I QUICKLY fell asleep on the couch. It blows my mind.
