Lola the Bride: October 2009
http://lolathebride.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Light in the Darkness. Little Girl, Big Door. Sunday, October 18, 2009. One year ago we were being introduced to our families and friends as Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Laura Scola. We were listening to speeches made by our closest friends and toasting our marriage alongside our brothers and sisters. This year we're spending our anniversary at home, sharing in some of our favorite activities. This morning we took a drive out to the bakery (with Dio on my lap) to pick up our anniversary cake. Well here it is.

Lola the Bride: January 2008
http://lolathebride.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Work It Work It. Let There Be Music. The Date, The Ballroom. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Here's the card I gave my bridesmaids when I asked them to be in the wedding. I made it in Microsoft Publisher. I mounted it on Archiver's Pomegranate colored paper from the Yours Truly collection, tied a ribbon on the top, placed it in a chocolate colored envelope and spelled the girls' names out in glittery pink stickers. I'm so thrilled about the bridal party! Sunday, January 27, 2008. Saturday, January 26, 2008.

DJs and Limos and Hair, Oh My! The Registry. Continued. Saturday, March 29, 2008. The dress I've been oggling online is mine! Mom and I went to the salon today for our appointment (which they seemed to have lost but were very pleasant and accommodated me anyway). We were greeted by a lovely woman named Cindy who got right to it. I told her I was there to see a particular style and she showed me to the fitting room. She found the dress pronto and it was on! I looked like a bride! But do you love it? I'm s...

Lola the Bride: The Dress
http://lolathebride.blogspot.com/2009/10/dress.html
Light in the Darkness. Little Girl, Big Door. Saturday, October 17, 2009. I just realized that tomorrow is our one year anniversary and I never even posted anything about my dress! Well, I posted that I had found one, but I never put pictures up or talked specifically about it. I first found it on the Knot. It's a Justin Alexander Couture. Dress The tag-line on the site reads: Modern Interpretations of Traditional Silhouettes. Well here it is. And here is me in it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lola the Bride: August 2008

Monday, August 11, 2008. The coolest thing was the pair of tweezers Mom got out for me to use when putting the rhinestones on the invitations. They actually have a built in light in them so I can really see what I'm doing. Fabulous! We proofed our text, printed each page, stamped the invitation, adhered the paper, added rhinestones, stamped the reply envelopes, stuffed the envelopes, wrote out tags, poked holes, cut ribbon and tied tags onto bows. Lola the Bride: February 2009
http://lolathebride.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Now as my bridesmaids know, I bestowed upon them the decision of picking out their own bridesmaids dresses. I did set limits, giving them a choice from fourteen dresses (that's twice as many dress choices as bridesmaids) and they each happened to choose different ones. This here is a little photo collage of what they picked out. I know these are small, but they're all I could find now that the whole thing is out of date. sorry. Sunday, February 15, 2009. This couple is my fath...

Lola the Bride: April 2008
http://lolathebride.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 14, 2008. After some brainstorming and some heavy candidates, we've decided on a DJ. So we should have some awesome music to kick it to while we're out on the dance floor. Rock! 1035 Kiss Fm Chicago. Saturday, April 5, 2008. So how does one become a cupcake guru? Crate and Barrel makes it all possible. The first thing you have to do is decide which kind you want to bake. This is the most fun part! Or how about some letters so they spell out "Congratulations! Try browsing 500 cupcakes. The t...
