http://cemeteryhilltailgaters.blogspot.com/2006/09/its-all-about-new-beginnings.html
Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness. Monday, September 04, 2006. It's All About New Beginnings. Saturday, September 2, was a great day at Clemson. It finally did get hot and it was muggy from the start, but the team had their game on and it went right well. They were outclassed from the beginning. We had better talent, smarter people, better leaders and obviously much better equipment. We absolutely, positively kicked their butts! AND THEN IT WAS TIME TO GO TO THE GAME! I always feel like I am honor...

Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness. Sunday, October 22, 2006. See, there are these chemicals. They’re called electrolytes. The electr means they create a charge and the lytes means that when they work right the lights work. These are salts in solution that carry an electrical charge. They close electrical currents and make lights come on, they make fans blow, they make televisions play. And they make cars start. Bet they never asked that did they? Gotta run. I gotta go get some new electrolytes.

Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness. Sunday, November 13, 2005. What a Family Finish! But while the Wiley boys were learning that valuable lesson, little Tommy Bowden was learning the same things are possible if you just kick Daddy's butt on the football field. And he did! The season was a rousing success by any measurable means. We made many new relationships, cemented old ones, repaired damaged ones and taught each other valuable lessons about family and friendship. Just like you hear foot...And w...

Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness. Sunday, September 17, 2006. I'll See You in Macy's Window! I'm not kicking any more. I'm not kicking it.". Well, fortunately, Clemson Head Coach Tommy Bowden got a chance to make that NOT be true as his paleface Tigers scored a late TD against the Injuns and got a last chance to kick one. And lo' and behold this time, it did NOT. But what you have NOT gotten accustomed to, and likely won't no matter how many times it happens, is beating Florida State! Just goes t...

Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness. Saturday, September 23, 2006. This Ain't 1981 Anymore! 1981 was a year that will be long remembered by any Clemson fan who experienced it. It was a year where everything that had to happen, did, for the Tigers to march right up the polls and end up rated number one when they went to Miami to meet Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. And then they beat those Huskers and brought home the bacon. When it is all said and done there will have been a finite number of opportunit...

Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness. Sunday, October 08, 2006. Falling Never Killed Anybody; It's The Sudden Stop That Gets You! The plane was flying south at 125 miles per hour. I could feel the wind hitting me in the face, the cargo door already open. I felt like someone had grabbed me by the chest and bear-hugged me. Hard to breathe, exhausted from fear. Fear of the unknown coupled with fear of a repeat performance. I am feeling around, pulling at every thing I can and it just is not there. I...
