To be honest I'm having periods where I'm almost totally devoid of confidence and crapping myself. and then periods where I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas! All I can say is that I know it's the right thing to do. I feel it within every inch of my body - even when I'm in my darkest place, I know it's intrinsically right. Maybe the timing isn't as ideal as it could've been but I feel it's now or never and I don't want it to be never. That is how it's going.

In the native american culture there is a long history of two-spirited people: People who believe they are both male and female and dress accordingly. I have just watched an episode of The Story Of Science in which the presenter investigates what makes us the people we are and one thing became clear to me: Reality is subjective. My reality - what I believe to be true - is unique to me. Granted it has many similarities to other people's reality but the whole package is unique to me. No one is going to believe exactly the same as I do. Perhaps I should even perhaps question the purpose of reality when it is subjective? Not me, misses!

Recently Gordon Brown expressed sympathy with the LGBT community for the treatment they have experienced in the past. Friday, 23 April 2010. So after last week's downturn, with the help of today's counselling, I've seen an upturn - I now have confidence about who I am. Thus I feel far more natural about presenting as Claire and don't feel like I'm just putting on a mask. So at this point I feel I should confess that I've not had the confidence to present as Claire in public of late because I didn't believe in myself. Now I do and today I have and it felt completely natural and good. I hope not because here they are:.
