99% fly: June 2013
http://sebastian-fly.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
My fishing and travel blog. Monday, June 3, 2013. Spring has sprung: Canada trip part 2. The next day we moved north, looking for something that has eluded me for a while, I wanted to catch my first steelhead. I knew I can do it, I had some pretty good local intel and support. My guides taught me the technique, put me on fish, what else could I hope for? Meanwhile they did a little fishing themselves. Sotto got the first one on his spey rod:. Then Hari's turn to land a beauty:. And some a little bigger:.

99% fly: 2011: Operation First Fish
http://sebastian-fly.blogspot.com/2011/03/2011-operation-first-fish.html
My fishing and travel blog. Monday, March 14, 2011. 2011: Operation First Fish. Mother nature decided to ruin my plans for the past weekend, a trip planned in all details for the past month an a half. Well, except one detail, that was uncontrollable: the flooding power of a 2 day heavy rain in early spring, that raised the water levels up to 4 times fishable values on the main river and pushed the tributaries out of their banks. So what do I do with a 4 day weekend? Thanks for your first fish story. ...

99% fly: Hungry like a wolf
http://sebastian-fly.blogspot.com/2013/07/hungry-like-wolf.html
My fishing and travel blog. Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Hungry like a wolf. I heard about similar episodes before, but now I witnessed it myself and it still seems pretty amazing. Here's the story:. Matching the hatch was not too hard, among the the tan caddis the mayflies were visibly targeted by fish and birds and soon the fish started to find their way to the net. Yellow perch were in the mix too. And some chubs/fall fish. Once in the net, the pickerel was able to wedge the fall fish out of it's mouth with...

Words or pictures are not enough, so you better put it on your bucket list. http://sebastian-fly.blogspot.com/2009/06/trip-to-romania-part-one-fishing.html
My fishing and travel blog. Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Trip to Romania part one: fishing. I'm never sad when fishing but this time it was hurting to see the wild browns and graylings continuing to fight for their survival with less and less chances to make it to the next year. Don't ask me why, but that little graylig meant more to me than a 4 pounds broodstock salmon on the Pemi. Unfortunately nothing we can do, nobody cares, we can only hope. June 10, 2009 at 1:05 AM. Stop by my home river next time! Mothe...

Ward Fly Rods: Wraps Complete - 5/6wt 8ft Fiberglass Fly Rod
http://wardflyrods.blogspot.com/2012/09/wraps-complete-56wt-8ft-fiberglass-fly.html
Friday, September 14, 2012. Wraps Complete - 5/6wt 8ft Fiberglass Fly Rod. I finished wrapping the 5/6wt rod today and, as you can see, it's going to be a looker. The translucency of this fiberglass looks so stinkin' awesome! You really have to see it in the light to appreciate it. Not only that, but the color of this blank is really sweet and reminds me of a bamboo rod. It's the retro look I was going for and I can't wait to fish this rod. Labels: Fiberglass - Mid Range. Ward Fly Rods: Pony Pasture Fly Fishing in Richmond VA
http://wardflyrods.blogspot.com/2012/09/pony-pasture-fly-fishing-in-richmond-va.html
Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Pony Pasture Fly Fishing in Richmond VA. I took the rare opportunity to hit the water to take advantage of the phenominal weather we're having in Virginia. Temps have been dipping into the upper 50's at night with highs in the 70's. My new fly fishing buddy, Andrew Campbell, and I hit the waters of the mighty James River at Pony Pasture to get in a little late afternoon Smallmouth action. Labels: Smallmouth on the Fly.
