It was a bit rushed because I had kid-related activities on Saturday morning, and had to be back by Sunday afternoon for more kid-related activities. From paper to water. With two pairs of helping hands it was rather pleasing act to glue on the forward deck. Thanks a lot, mates! Those freshly glued front deck stringers got nice and cozy overnight stay under this i-love-to-hassle-with-masking-tape tent. Bunks are ready for port hull. Now there will be some paint job (Tikkurila Temacoat RM40) and stringer job before gluing the decks on. Looking good, hopefully I could keep up the pace…. I don't seem to ever see boats in Pt Diablo cove (just to the east of Point Diablo), perhaps because of the strong currents and rocky bottom, which are not the best for anchor holding. Pt Diablo and Light. Looking NE towards the Bay. So, if you are looking for some seclusion and quality seal time - give Diablo Cove a visit.

Over-canvassed and a real handful in a blow. 218 sq ft of sail on a 16' boat weighing 320 lbs - that is more sail area than the Tiki 21 even though it is 1/3 of the weight. On a reach it is as fast as most new boats and can be seen out in winds that have other racing boats on the beach (maybe because of the V-hulls and rocker? I had this beauty for just one summer before getting the Wharram.
