Thursday, May 31, 2012. After 4 1/2 months of living in an apartment, we are finally HOME! And boy does it feel good to call this new place "home". We have space to spread out, I have a new kitchen to cook in, Bob has a garage again, and we have a yard to play in! And the dogs are back with us - not sure who was happier. the kids to see the dogs, the dogs to see us, or my parents to have their house/yard back! Sunday, April 7, 2013. This year we've decided to start a garden. (ok, well I decided and my lovely husband built it for me). In years past, I've just done mainly herbs and a few veggies in pots. This year we're moving up: raised planter beds! It was pretty easy. and we had most of the materials for one box already. So here goes nothing. check back later this summer to see how we're doing! Sunday, March 24, 2013. It's cold windy outside, I've pinned way too many egg ideas, and Easter is a week away. This was the prefect morning to test out a few recipes/ideas, and dye some eggs! And, Aiden learned he liked hard-boiled eggs. He didn't get it at first. when Bobby handed him an egg (peeled), he kept trying to "crack" it on his plate! Next up: white chocolate puppy chow. Monday, May 13, 2013. That's right, I said project. Somethings not right unless there's some sort of "project" going on in our house! This time: the back patio. When we were building our house, we kept going back and forth whether to extend our back patio slab or not. We decided against it at the time, thinking "we have plenty of room. we'll save the money, etc". Well, we should have known. We are outside people and we wanted a little more space. Thursday, January 31, 2013. Even though we're in a brand new house, it doesn't stop my urge to be doing a "project"! Insert sarcastic voice) Our last project was our bedroom. It's been a work in progress, but we've painted the walls, built a fabric bench for the foot of the bed, and built a headboard for cheap! With chains, hammers, an axe, etc. we beat the wood. Then we primed the wood, and painted it a light brown (something we had from the house). And our other little helper. And a view up close :).
