What day is this?: December 2007
http://whatdayisthisblog.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
What day is this? Friday, December 28, 2007. This is it.for now. This will be my last post for a while. Well, just the weekend. I'll be on my trip to Savannah then to Jacksonville with my family. I won't be near a computer so I'll update when I get back. I'm sure I'll have one or two or ten stories to share. I'll be getting new comics tomorrow so I'll have reviews as well. Then we rented Curb Your Enthusiasm which I have never seen. I've only watched two episodes but it's hilarious. Blockbuster o...I hop...

What day is this?: I'm No Gamer
http://whatdayisthisblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/im-no-gamer.html
What day is this? Monday, January 19, 2009. The past few days I've been playing some video games. Not many just a few. Let me start by saying that while I have been known to play until my brain turns to jelly and my thumbs go numb I am not what you call a video game expert. I own a Wii. And only 3 games, Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero World Tour and Wii. Sports. Sadly I don't play as much as I like. I get distracted by other things. Plus I've beaten both Guitar Heroes and well those and the Wii. It's pretty ...

What day is this?: January 2008
http://whatdayisthisblog.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
What day is this? Monday, January 21, 2008. Sunday we did more driving around. This time we went to the school we went to for 8 or so years. We also drove by our old house and both sets of grandparents' house. It was weird seeing all of it. It was a big part of our lives but now it seems so distant. All in all it was a good weekend. Thursday, January 10, 2008. Monday, January 7, 2008. Work and other stuff. So I've been back to work for a week now. It's still hard to be motivated after being off for a...

Tuesday, July 26, 2011. The absolutely most powerful indictment of Scientology yet. You can give data and statistics that show how Scientology is a scam, but you won't find a more powerful, personal illustration of the dishonest, corrupt, and venomous nature of the religion and the man who founded it than to listen to his great grandson. Perhaps the biggest: Thoughts on Labor and My Dad
http://rrlane.blogspot.com/2013/08/thoughts-on-labor-and-my-dad.html
Monday, August 26, 2013. Thoughts on Labor and My Dad. Labor Day Weekend thoughts. At they used to work for Dad, and then they regale me with stories of how he was the best boss they ever had. Still, he disliked unions, and he felt them counterproductive to his business. When I finished, he got silent for a few minutes. He looked down at the plate in front of him, and I don't think he met my eyes when he said what he said next. Rich, you ought to look into starting a union there.". THIS BLOG HAS MOVED!

Perhaps the biggest: Penn Jillette's God, No! is hit and miss
http://rrlane.blogspot.com/2011/10/penn-jilletes-god-no-is-hit-and-miss.html
Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Penn Jillette's God, No! Is hit and miss. I wasn't expecting the pure reason of Richard Dawkins or the elegant, staggeringly beautiful prose of Christopher Hitchens when I picked up this book. That was kind of the initial attraction, actually. I was hoping for a discussion of atheism and religion that was a bit more earthy and geared toward the layman than either of those two gentlemen are known for, and Penn Jillette seemed to fit the bill. God, No! Yep, it was no big deal.

Perhaps the biggest: What is Love? (Baby, Don't Hurt Me)
http://rrlane.blogspot.com/2012/06/what-is-love-baby-dont-hurt-me.html
Saturday, June 9, 2012. Baby, Don't Hurt Me). If you are friends with me on Facebook (and if you aren't, why not? You probably know I like to debate. Sometimes the questions are good enough that I should probably post them here for my own reference if nothing else. Here's the first of this series. A friend of a friend asked me this when I told him that I require evidence to believe anything. So do you believe that love exists? Can it be proved matching the criteria outlined above? Congress shall make no ...

Ulysses The Blog!: Oh, Blerg.
http://ulyssestheblog.blogspot.com/2008/06/oh-blerg.html
Monday, June 9, 2008. Picking up the book, I realize I've put off writing about Episode 3 for so long after my re-reading of it that now I'll have to re-re-read it. Just thought I'd wish Rob and everyone else a happy Bloomsday if you are reading this on the 16th of June. The events of the book took place 104 years ago today. You can check out what they are doing in 'Dear Dirty Dublin' today here:. Http:/ www.visitdublin.com/events/AllDublinEvents/Detail.aspx? Then I went to the Martello Tower Stephen and...

Ulysses The Blog!: July 2008
http://ulyssestheblog.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Well I thought it was funny. I was actually reading the book Saturday afternoon. No, no, that isn't the funny part. Anyways, I like reading either with music playing the background or with the TV on. If I read in silence my mind tends to wander. Saturday I had the TV on in the background, and I wasn't really paying attention to what was on. Eventually I did notice, and it was. Cops. I don't know why but that made me laugh. Could there have been two more cultural opposites?
