It is well | Steadfast

Remember. Record. Reflect. May 31, 2010 in glimpses of grace. Yesterday, I woke up feeling sad and down for reasons I couldn’t think of. I walked into church and the song I had walked into was “It is well with my soul”. I had forgotten about this hymn. What a timely encouragement and reminder:. When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,. When sorrows like sea billows roll;. Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,. It is well, it is well, with my soul. It is well, with my soul,. Oh trump of the angel!

Remember. Record. Reflect. May 15, 2010 in Biblical Womanhood. As of late, I’ve been listening to John MacArthur’s series on “God’s higher calling for women” and “God’s design for a successful woman”. I’ve been convicted by both series to lay down my worldly perceptions of womanhood and to strive for that which God has ordained, because it is indeed far more fulfilling and joy-filled than everything the world comes up with. Remember. Record. Reflect. May 31, 2010 in glimpses of grace. I found this blog ( The practice of prayer in the throne room of God. On prayer wonderfully encouraging. It is stunning how great the difference is between how I view prayer and how I ought to view prayer in light of who God is in all His glory and grace. Thanks be to God who is so graciously patient with my erroneous and faithless view of prayer! A sinner getting mastered by grace. Hidden in a Field. Comments feed for this article.

This was something profound that I learned from a sermon. 8220;Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”. What a demand that Christ makes of us! How can anyone be perfect. Yet this is what God demands of us. But why would Jesus demands of us something that is impossible? The very fact that it is written in the Bible means that it mustn’t be impossible then....
