That no where in the bible does it say to celebrate birthdays (even Jesus') or anniversaries, etc. It's so interesting how we spend so much money/time/effort to make each other feel special on that. A friend of ours stated on New Year's day "Isn't it odd how many things we feel obligated to do because it's the American way! Valentine's, big birthday parties, Christmas gifts, etc. yet none of that is talked about in the bible. Tim- safe trip to Cali.

Last week, a section of the class was about honoring people in your life (mom, dad, president, etc) You don’t have to like them- but honor and respect them! Then last night I attended an all women's class at the church called "flavour" which our pastor's wife led- she rocks! HONOR…. Who all in your life are you not honoring? But, GOD doesn't agree!

Monday, August 10, 2015. Today was a big day- Kate started preschool! She's going to The Growing Place, an in-home preschool, that a former resident's family recommended and was one of the few preschools I contacted that wasn't $400 a month. Preschool will be Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9-11:30am. Her teachers, Ms. Whitney and Ms. Cerise, are so sweet and are going to be awesome! There is a large part of me that isn't ready to let her go. We are going to miss her so much! This is only the beginning.

Tim and Helen Manson. Saturday, December 27, 2014. Recently I had the privilege of travelling with Tutapona. Up into North Uganda on the border of South Sudan. There, Tutapona is working alongside the UN, LWF and Samaritans Purse to bring healing and hope to the 92,000 refugees that currently call the camp home. When the war in South Sudan broke out in early December 2013 thousands fled to Adjumani. Tim and I arrived there ab out a month after the conflict had erupted. Adjumani Food Gathering area BEFORE.
