Saturday, 24 January 2015. Thoughts about my life (literally). As I've been reading the Old Testament, one thing has always bothered me. I couldn't understand why the lives of people seemed so insignificant. When Israel overtook a nation, they killed everyone. People were killed all the time for things that someone else did. What about the good people? Did people on earth not have a purpose in the Old Testament? Did God not care personally for every person as he does now? Then one day I had a thought.

But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer. -Luke 5:16. This got me to pondering about my devotions and how Jesus modeled even that perfectly while He was here on earth.
