Took awhile to get this one out; though from the beginning the word Starbuck inspired an image of a boatcar. At first it was a lankey pirate meandering a whaling harbor, then an image of lions inspired a 'sea lion' take. Posted by John Deininger. Thursday, July 1, 2010. Hope you all don't mind. :).

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. The Bookwood on Etsy! I've finally set up a shop on Etsy. I've only listed 5 items so far but there's more to come! Http:/ www.etsy.com/shop/thebookwood? Thanks to ma and Janice for holding him while I finished this little portrait. :). Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Monday, April 11, 2011. Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

The Bookwood Blog: October 2011
http://bookwood.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Here are a few more images of the woodland creatures I’ve been working on the last few months. Many of these critters are fairly close to life size and all of them are local to Whidbey island. Which is fun. I’ve had a lot of help from local wildlife experts and the wonderful librarians at the Oak Harbor library. I feel so blessed to get to work with these people! The Bookwood Blog: Public Art
http://bookwood.blogspot.com/2011/06/public-art.html
Tuesday, June 21, 2011. I am currently in the beginning stages of creating a public art installation for a Library. It's much larger than I've ever worked, but I'm really excited. The husband and I will be collaborating on this project, and I must say, I am so blessed to have such wonderful, supportive husband who can do just about anything! I don't want to give away the project before it's complete, but here are a few preliminary detail sketches. Enjoy! June 21, 2011 at 12:23 PM. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011. I cant wait to see the finished product! I wish our squirrels read. The only thing ours do is run across the power lines and occasionally get blown up if they hit a transformer wrong. July 26, 2011 at 4:38 PM. So cool. Cant wait to see it all done. :). August 1, 2011 at 12:04 AM. I love all of your art and blogs! Your website is really amazing! I cant wait for the finished product! And to see the library covered with your art sounds exciting! Keep up the amazing artworks!
