Relates the passage of time linearly in five minute intervals utilizing eleven illuminated color positions. Originating at the top, panels one through eleven represent elapsed hours one through eleven, respectively and five minute segments five through fifty-five. Noon and midnight are indicated in the center panel (sixth) by a color reserved only for those hours. Hours are blue with 3, 6 and 9, melding into a deep violet (shown here). Minutes are always green. The time indicated is 3:30.

Three concentrically orbiting bodies floating optically in a dense spatial field represent minutes, hours and seconds. The green outer body revolves once every hour, the larger blue body revolves once every twelve hours and the smallest body, white, once each minute. The effect is housed in a 9.5 inch black cube. Illustrator,whose career ended much too soon by his own hand. At this age we are starting to loose our pals at an increasingly rapid rate. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Inexpensive DIY light box - Laptop style for storyboards and animation. Here is a simple homemade light box made form a 11 x 14 clear plastic picture frame. Cut a pair of sides to fit from 3/4 plywood and paint them white. You will need a bottom cut to fit from hardboard also painted white. A small lamp available in home stores is useful to move around under your drawing or expanded to two lamps fixed to the sides for a more permanent job. Links to this post. Tell me a story.
