Fusing Process

Fused and kiln formed glass are general terms used to describe glass that has been manipulated, shaped, decorated or formed in a kiln. Getting the exact temperature in the kiln is very important, a couple of centigrade. Either way can make a difference between success and disaster. If the glass gets too hot, like mercury it draws into itself and creates a bubble. Not hot enough and the glass will not fuse together. My pieces are normally created using several layers of glass to create a pattern.

Jewellery Parties now available! I will come to your home and show my jewellery and if requested some of my other products to your invited guests. I will also explain the process involved in making fused glass. People can then buy what is on display or commission their own jewellery to set off an outfit or order a dish, wall hanging or mirror to add a unique feature to their home. The host will be offered a complimentary set of earrings or pendant of their choice at the end of the evening.
