Time For It Now. In the fall of 1971 the university I was attending had a poetry contest. I loved writing poems and decided to enter it. My poem was one of those printed in the school paper. The Christmas of 1971 was the first Christmas we celebrated as a couple and that poem was the beginning of a family tradition. Since then, my husband and I have written a Christmas poem each year. Sometimes he wrote the poem, sometimes I did, and some years we wrote it jointly. Time For It Now.
