http://www.graceanddaisychains.com/2012/08/why-i-love-my-church.html
Grace and Daisy Chains. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Why I Love My Church. I have recently been asked by several people about where we go to church in the city, and why we go where we go. It's gotten me so pumped up to think about it. So I will write about it now. In this little space here. I've been going to Grace DC. For the 3 and a half years (Hold. The. Phone. What! That I've been in DC. Figuring out where to go to church was sort of like figuring out my scene. Michael moved to DC in May of 2011, right ...

Grace and Daisy Chains. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. A Wedding Weekend and Diaper Woes. Last weekend marked the final weekend of travel for Michael and me before the baby arrives. To say we are over the moon about no more traveling would be an understatement. We are over the UNIVERSE. or over something infinitely higher than the moon. Despite this excitement, this past weekend was a super fun way to end this busy season: A wedding! The bride and groom post-rehearsal dinner. Prosecco, you question? To cel...

Grace and Daisy Chains. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. It's been a while. Life is so different nowadays. Let's do a brief recap:. FORMERLY: I lived in DC where friends were plentiful and nearby, I had a job, saw a lot of my hubby, and had no baby. PRESENTLY: I am living in North Carolina where I'm making friends slowly but surely, don't have a job, am not seeing so much of my hubby, and there's a baby. I hope to eventually unpack those statements. It was high time that girl saw some of my roots. Visiting Michae...

Grace and Daisy Chains. Thursday, September 11, 2014. Michael and I are in Durham, North Carolina for the month because he is doing an away rotation at Duke. From here we go to Nashville for most of October for another rotation before returning home to DC. It's a mini adventure! There is also a Chick-Fil-A about four blocks away. This is cause for celebration, wouldn't you say? I have a few favorite things lately that I wanted to share. Take 'em or leave 'em! 2) Which I just did! I just watched About Time.

Grace and Daisy Chains: Summer Dinner Sampler
http://www.graceanddaisychains.com/2015/08/summer-dinner-sampler.html
Grace and Daisy Chains. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Holy cow, it's August! This picture is from 6 weeks ago when Liza Love was about 3.5 months old. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden I am not so sure how I feel about summer. I will now bury this dream and not re-awaken it for about 15 years. My friend Courtney recently sent me this hilarious article. No you cannot bring your boyfriend on our family vacation.". No you cannot have alcohol with those strangers on the beach.". My 2 shade loungers.

Grace and Daisy Chains: December 2014
http://www.graceanddaisychains.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Grace and Daisy Chains. Friday, December 19, 2014. The Wife of a 4th Year Med Student. Back in February, I wrote a post. About being the wife of a 3rd year med student. To my surprise, a lot of women with super busy husbands (whether in med school or not) totally identified with what I said. I was reminded of the age old adage: Strength in numbers, yall! Now that Michael is over half way done, I'm feeling much better, but the whole process has been incredibly draining. I've played madam secretary to ...

I have probably never been this tired in all my life, but I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. There's a verse in Esther thay says "Who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this? More to come, but here are some pictures for now:. First sunlight on her face! When I went into labor on Thursday night, DC was covered in snow. My d...

Grace and Daisy Chains. Monday, August 18, 2014. Word in your Heart. I have a re-occurring thought that pops into my head every now and then, and it's this: If I was to be thrown in prison, would I know enough of God's word to sustain me through the duration of my stay? Ok let's back up. I know what you're thinking. WHY would I be thinking that I'm going to be thrown into prison? Anyway, aside from some possible stolen sandwiches, I really don't think I'll be going to prison any time soon. Buuuuut th...

Grace and Daisy Chains. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Because it's fall. Because I finally found pumpkin pie spice at the store. Because I love you. That's all. Recipe found here. Friday, October 3, 2014. Don't you forget it. I found out I was pregnant in early July, and immediately flew home to Dallas the next day where I spent 10 days with my mom and dad. I told my parents our news (story here. But there was and is still so much waiting in the process. Waiting to count days, waiting for your body to k...
