The Sundwall Clan: February 2010
http://sundwalls.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Die Deutsche Diary - All the other days. Checkpoint Charlie, the Allied Forces checkpoint for crossing back and forth between East and West Berlin between 1945 and 1989. I know it's hard to see, but this is a picture of an aerial shot of Berlin just after the end of WWII. The city was 70% destroyed. I know, I know. It's crass. We don't even use the word "fart" in the Sundwall house. But some things are just funnier in a foreign language. :). Me in front of the palace of Sophie...

The Sundwall Clan: October 2010
http://sundwalls.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 14, 2010. Kalli was baptized in the North Bend Washington LDS church house. Three of my four children were baptized there, incidentally. She was baptized on July 17, 2010. Both sets of grandparents and the families of Aunt Sommer, Uncle Judah, and Aunt Anna were all in attendance, as were many, many friends. Kalli is a light and joy to so many people. We did her baptism announcement shots in Grand Junction at Grandma Gloria's. Kalli's sweet smile can warm any heart. Me and my crew.

The Sundwall Clan: Grandma Glo's house
http://sundwalls.blogspot.com/2010/10/grandmas-glos-house.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. The day after school let out for summer, the kids and I skipped town and headed directly to Grandma Glo's in Grand Junction, Colorado. This pic is better suited for Kalli's birthday post, but I forgot to include it. Question: How many 8-year-old girls want a Topsy Turvey tomato planter for their birthday? But look at Kalli's toothless grin: obviously this was a roof-raiser! Kate at dinosaur hill in Grand Junction. Look at those eyes. Me and my crew. Grandma and my crew. Makin...

The Sundwall Clan: July 2009

Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Boys' Week Part III. The final day of Boys' Week found us up and out early, headed for Rimrock Adventures. We started with a horseback ride down through the redrock canyons. The boys warmed up to the donkeys quite nicely, and were saddened when informed that we'd be riding horses instead. You know, I'd say Tanner just might be part Indian. Look at the resemblance. :). Wise words from a weathered professional. Notice that my horse is the best looking. Palaminos are the bomb. I exh...

The Sundwall Clan: February 2009

Saturday, February 21, 2009. Oh Blessed Mid-Winter Break. Here in our little slice of the great American pie known as the Cascade Foothills there is an annual occurrence. That serves as a reminder that although we happily nest amidst the tall pines and low-hanging clouds of this soggy Utopia, mortal irritations occur as naturally as the falling rain. The particular annual occurrence. To which I refer is this: mid-winter break. So if you're wondering what we, the Sundwalls. In school, now, do they? Have y...

The Sundwall Clan: First Day of School 2010
http://sundwalls.blogspot.com/2010/11/first-day-of-school-2010.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. First Day of School 2010. My crazy crew on the first day of school on August 31, 2010. Kate and Tanner are both returning for another round at Snoqualmie Middle School, with Kate in her third and final year (8th grade) before moving up to Mt. Si High next year. Tanner is comfortably settling in as a 7th grader and anticipating his reign on top next year. I LOVE the untied shoelace! Ah, Kal. Snubbin' for the camera, as usual. And hambone Tucker. Gotta love my Tuck. I miss you...

The Sundwall Clan: Sundwall Sunriver Reunion
http://sundwalls.blogspot.com/2010/11/sundwall-sunriver-reunion.html
Saturday, November 27, 2010. In mid-August we had our every-other-year Sundwall family reunion in Sunriver, Oregon. We absolutely love that place, and my kids build on the memories we've established from their earliest years every time we return there. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. Kate's bazillioneth self-portrait :). Kate and Kal on the hike around a crater. The family at the top of a Lava Butte. Kalli blowin' in the wind. Tucker playing King of the (Lava) Castle. Climbing to the top.

The Sundwall Clan: June 2009
http://sundwalls.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Boys' Week Part II. It's 11:40pm and Mom and I are staring like idiots at the computer screen trying to be creative and catchy in captioning the following pics. It's not working. We'll simply say that we had a great day at "Bananas" Fun Park with the boys and later the rodeo with Grandpa in tow. Probably the highlight of the day: go-carts the boys could drive themselves. The best part is the ride was completely stationary and yet they still had fun. I got a good cowboy shot in.
