http://lindyhomeschool.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 27, 2014. THE END OF THE YEAR! It's early out in the McKay household this year. I am three weeks away from the baby's due date, and we are DONE! For science two weeks ago, only one boy (in addition to mine) came. I was SO tired that even though I had everything planned, I was happy to see just one easy going boy come by and said "How about we watch Brain Pop for science today? Of course they said yes, and we had an easy fun time. Geography. Well, we we didn't do any more crafts or activi...

Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street. Do you remember being a kid and wanting to actually. It seemed like such a magical place, yet so real. It had to be out there somewhere! Unfortunately, no one that I knew actually. I decided to share some of those nostalgic learning experiences with my kiddos today, as well as with you! One of them is the number song from the animated pin ball machine. One of these kids is doing his own thing.can you guess which one? I hope this post...

June 26, 2010 by So Over. Nope We are not. It has. Just been too damn busy around here. 8211; for a myriad of reasons – most good, but some – not so much. I am sneaking in a quick post so that all our friends in the blogosphere do not think that our children finally did in fact – send us to the loony bin. For our area. Th...

http://lindyhomeschool.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. Iroquois, Hurons, Wampanoag, and Newton. Well, I did it. I finally did two history activities in one week. Oh man, I need to shape up this year. We did continue to learn more about Champlain, the iroquois and Hurons. I still have more books I want to read. I. have. more. books. I. want. to. read. always. As for science, we learned Newton's other two laws of motion. We used swings to teach his second law about force, acceleration, and mass. And he has memorized his "Yellow is the...

Lindy's Homeschool: January 2015
http://lindyhomeschool.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Oh wait. Just Kidding. We left Frozen Alberta in exchange for the rainforest mist of the NorthWest Coast. Lucky? Oh yeah. We love living in Cardston because we can leave when we want to. It's one of the best perks of homeschooling and having a husband that works for himself. Dustin has been having fun with our device cameras though. Check out the movie he made of one of our days here:. I don't want to do wigs! I want to make a craft of George Washington crossing the Delaware&...

Tuesday, May 26, 2015. This one's for the Heathers. At my alternate school (Homeschoolers in Canada need to go through alternate schools-thankfully mine is awesome,) my principal's name is Heather. I absolutely love her (and I'm not just brown nosing-she's excellent.) And the teacher over me is ALSO Heather. She's a friend of mine whom I have always looked to as a mentor and exemplar. So yah, totally blessed. So, First Hyrum:. BUT he actually was able to meet all the GRADE 2 math requirements! The sight ...

Friday, August 29, 2014. School's Starting- -and I'm Freaking Out (a bit). School is supposed to start in a few days, and I feel more intimidated about it than I ever have. This is why:. Freakout Reason #1: Introducing Abraham. Isn't he the cutest little bundle of newborn you ever did see? Isn't it obvious that he's a delight and joy? But he's also a TIME-SUCKER! Freakout reason #2: Terrible Twos. Freakout reason #3: Tutoring. Freakout Reason #4: Frustration. So yah, freaking out a bit. It doesn't help t...

Monday, February 24, 2014. Olympics, Italian Pasta, and Flamenco Dancers. I'm finally starting to feel a little better. I still have this killer cough. Man. HATE sick. We learned about Russia. Instead of doing some cutesy craft, we just watched the olympics. They are in Russia after all. We also studied Italy. Did you know they have a witch that brings presents at Christmas? We studied Spain as well. We made Flamenco Dancers. Idea from here. Sadly we did not have science because of sicky sickness. UGH.
