Time to be an Organized Mom. Sunday, January 2, 2011. The Beginning is in Sight. Originally posted November 14, 2010 on Time to be Mom. I know, it's supposed to be "the end. Is in sight," but for me, the end of my office job means the beginning of getting my life in order. Another thing she mentioned was that one of the things most of us leave out when we get overloaded is sleep. We try to stay up one more hour, get one more thing done. Funny thing is, getting enough sleep can help us get more do...Cryst...

Time to be an Organized Mom: Where does my Help come from?
http://timetobeanorganizedmom.blogspot.com/2011/01/where-does-my-help-come-from.html
Time to be an Organized Mom. Sunday, January 2, 2011. Where does my Help come from? Originally posted October 23, 2010 on Time to be Mom. The other day, Psalm 121:1-2 got stuck in my head- all day! Of course, it started with hearing the song version on the radio, but the words stuck with me. "I lift my eyes up to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord- Maker of heaven and earth.". It got me thinking: what would that help look like? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life Yo...

Time to be an Organized Mom: January 2012
http://timetobeanorganizedmom.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Time to be an Organized Mom. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. I wrote a post on my main "Time to be Mom" blog about breaking large projects and goals into smaller steps. The two main reasons are so that you'll actually be able to finish something soon and feel like you've accomplished something, which gives you momentum, and so that the size of the overall project/goal doesn't overwhelm you before you get started. Today, I finally got smart and decided to work on something I could actually finish. Our coat clos...

E’s First Birthday Party | Ramblings of a teacher, Redskins fan, and adoptive mom

Ramblings of a teacher, Redskins fan, and adoptive mom. E’s First Birthday Party. June 29, 2015. A few weeks ago E turned 1! To add to the theme of the fireman, I downloaded a printable set from Simone Made It. The fruit skewers were also a fire theme. Originally, I had intended to have a strawberry, a mango piece, and a pineapple chunk on each skewer for the flame/fire theme, but cutting a mango is time consuming and frustrating when you’ve never done it before. So, we ended up only having...It was so d...

Water Play | Ramblings of a teacher, Redskins fan, and adoptive mom

Ramblings of a teacher, Redskins fan, and adoptive mom. June 30, 2015. I sat the bin outside in the front yard on a somewhat level area and filled it with water. Then, I got some of his bath toys (we had a few sets of the same toys) and brought those out and put them in the water. So, in the midst of his playing with them, I did not take a picture to show the various colors of the cubes and such. Oops! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Ramblings of a teacher, Redskins fan, and adoptive mom. July 8, 2016. Here are the things young black men could (and have) been killed for by police officers:. Supposedly selling “loosies” – single cigarettes from a pack – Eric Garner (which he was NOT selling). Selling music CDs – Alton Sterling – the store owner did not have an issue with Sterling selling his CDs at the store or outside of it – not a saint, but who among us is? Playing in the park – Tamir Rice – 12 years old. 8211; Physical safety.

Time to be Mom in the Home: A Starting Point
http://timetobemominthehome.blogspot.com/2012/01/starting-point.html
Time to be Mom in the Home. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. I recently began (finally) getting my home in order. There are so many items on my to-do list that I was getting overwhelmed and having trouble starting. I finally found a good starting point; a project small enough that I could finish in one day. No, it was not the part of the house I wanted cleaned most. It's not even one that I have to worry about others seeing, but it is one we use multiple times a day: the coat closet. Impressive, huh?
