Dave's Model Blog: October 2011
http://davemodelblog.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 28 October 2011. I've started so I'll finish. Why do I keep finding kits I never knew existed but now I must have? It's an addiction but i think I'm on the brink of either overdose or detox I'm not quite sure. See I've added another 4 kits since my last post about my stash and modelling-wise I have achieved the fixing of the undercarriage on one Tornado. Now stepping back I can see the imbalance and so the time has come to put the kit buying chastity belt on and get down to it! Well I showed in m...

Ashcott-Meare Station: Another one
http://sdjroo.blogspot.com/2012/11/another-one.html
A layout in 1:76. Sunday, November 18, 2012. Another new layout, this time I hope its for real! It is based on the S&DJR around the mid 50's. Baseboard is simple. 45mm x 18mm pine frame with 50mm XPS (expanded polystyrene) sheet no-more-nailed on top. This gives me a very light yet rigid platform. I will be putting a 4mm ply track bed under the track. In one of these photos it looks a little twisted, thats due to the shocking plastic lens on phone cameras, which is also my excuse for the poor lighting!

Ashcott-Meare Station: Little progress
http://sdjroo.blogspot.com/2013/01/little-progress.html
A layout in 1:76. Friday, January 18, 2013. While waiting (still) for the points to arrive, I ordered the required buildings from gaugemaster. Built a few this morning. Here they are prior to weathering. The smaller of the 2 is a Peco kit, while the larger is a Wills kit, onto which I attached a canopy which is stolen from the Peco kit mentioned above :). Dave's Model Blog: The Phantom Menace
http://davemodelblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/phantom-menace.html
Wednesday, 15 February 2012. Anyone notice the theme ;). Well since others have put up their 2012 plans already I will follow suit. Not because I want to be like everyone else, far from it, honestly, no really. Oh sod it, if it works for everyone else then why not copy them! So what will 2012 bring to the cutting mat? Well the title is a clue, 2012 will feature quite heavily on the aircraft that is in most Cold War/Modern aircraft builders stash, The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. Now the bug had bitt...

Abthorpe Central: Blue Pullman unpackaged
http://abthorpe.blogspot.com/2012/11/blue-pullman-unpackaged.html
Friday, 9 November 2012. Again another quick post but I have now had the Pullman out of the box properly but due to the layout still being in lots of bits can't connect it all together and test it! A few pics follow with my Triang/Kitmaster coversion being an interloper. It does highlight the touch up needed following the fitting of the LEDs in the front though! Abthorpe Central: June 2013
http://abthorpe.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, 22 June 2013. Coal stage and garage. Again a shockingly long gap since the last update. Various things have progressed since the last update, a lot more is now wired and running and to break from burning my fingers and the smell of solder I have made a start on some of the scenic basics. I've started on a bridge and scenic bit over the scenic break which is also going to have a BMC dealer to the side. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Would you like to help us.
