Tim in transit

Tuesday, September 05, 2006. Summer has finished and Autumn is here. I love the change of seasons. Air gets a bit cooler and days are getting shorter. I am looking forward to seeing that in reverse when I get back to Australia! There were plenty of challenges through the season as well such as making time to study Japanese and making the effort to communicate with the japanese guests, to go above and beyond what is called of us and having a positive heart towards all the tasks that are asked of me. Tim in transit: July 2006

http://www.timhille.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 19, 2006. Grace Chapel: Our first camp this summer. The final morning some of the guests were encouraged to share their experiences of their time at Northstar and some of the comments were so encouraging about learning about the bible and a different way to live! We also got to do a bit of rockclimbing on the final morning which was cool and some of the guests didn't want to leave after only three days! I also got to go to a Coldplay concert this week, but that is another story! Camps sta...

Monday, July 10, 2006. NSTAR Summer July 06. We have been getting aquainted with the local hiking trails and there are two of the guys out on a six day scouting hike right now looking for suitable terrain to take guests on overnite camps. Apparently they saw a bear in there travels but only from a distance! We have also been training on and getting to know the local mountain biking trails as well as getting taught how to safely put on climbing harnesses and belay for climbers. Links to this post:.

Sunday, February 26, 2006. Northstar Rail Jam Rocked. We lost power to two sets of lights midway through the final and had to pull up three vehicles with their headlights on high beam which was kind of cool and did not upset the flow of the event at all really! The winner for the girls was one of the Snowboarders for Christ, Monica from Switzerland and one of the local riders named Masa took it out for the guys. Posted by Tim Hille @ 7:14 pm.
