http://timingeorgia.blogspot.com/2008/01/school-holiday-celebrations.html

This is a blog to chronicle my experiences in the Republic of Georgia as a Peace Corps TEFL volunteer. *The views expressed herein are mine and are not necessarily those of the Peace Corps or the US Government.*. My school recently executed its first English-language Christmas party. My students sang songs, recited poems, told jokes, and described Christmas traditions in both America and Georgia. I think everyone had a good time. Here are some photos of the event. We even teach shapes and colors! Mansour...

Tim in Georgia: Minimalism

This is a blog to chronicle my experiences in the Republic of Georgia as a Peace Corps TEFL volunteer. *The views expressed herein are mine and are not necessarily those of the Peace Corps or the US Government.*. I had the great pleasure of talking with some of my (still living in America) friends on my cell phone last week. During the course of our conversation, as we discussed my imminent move to an apartment, my friend said "Why Tim, I thought you had become a minimalist! But am I a minimalist? It loo...

Pilgrimage to PC Mecca. I have also made progress towards getting this dental business cleared up, hopefully it will be simple and not like the experiences Brooke, Virginia, and Audrie (the other people from W&M who drove up yesterday) are having with their medical stuff. Tim in Georgia: Tupac came to the Wedding...

http://timingeorgia.blogspot.com/2007/10/tupac-came-to-wedding.html

This is a blog to chronicle my experiences in the Republic of Georgia as a Peace Corps TEFL volunteer. *The views expressed herein are mine and are not necessarily those of the Peace Corps or the US Government.*. Tupac came to the Wedding. Lots of microphones. When the Tamada made a toast, he stood up, stumbled towards the bank of seven microphones, and delivered the toast. To my silly American mind, it appeared that he was giving a press conference. Posted by Tim @ 17:30. Mon Oct 22, 11:36:00 PM GMT 4.

Cuttino's Georgian Life: I am cold, but not dead...

http://cuttinoalexander.blogspot.com/2008/02/i-am-cold-but-not-dead.html

A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Thursday, February 07, 2008. I am cold, but not dead. Well, I've let this blog sit and languish over the winter for far too long. What's happened over the time away? Georgia has been in the grip of the coldest winter in a decade- leaving me without water for weeks (seriously, can insulation really be that hard? I'll post more on all this. Where is Nickum?: July 2006

http://whereisnickum.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

Probably saving the children of Darfur through his poetry and interpretive dance. Only this will stop the slaughter, not the UN or negotiations, for that would be foolish. No, only my fluid dance movements and the scattered words on a page can melt the coldness of cruelty. Sunday, July 23, 2006. Cuttino's Georgian Life: Moving On...

http://cuttinoalexander.blogspot.com/2011/04/moving-on.html

A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Monday, April 25, 2011. The war was a sad and shocking end to my Peace Corps service, as these final posts reflect. The good news, however, is that the ultimate nightmare scenarios did not come to be. Things were tragically set back, but the resilient Georgians picked up the pieces and moved on with the rebuilding and reforming of their nation. Epistles from the Caucasus. A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Thursday, August 07, 2008. Heavy Fighting" in South Ossetia. I know its been a long time since I have updated this blog. I finished out my service last week and left Georgia two days ago. Work got very busy and things fell by the wayside and I apologize for that. In the near future I will post some blog entries reflecting on the positive times during my last days in Georgia. Posted by Cuttino Alexander @ 7:05 PM.

Cuttino's Georgian Life: Stalin's Big Day

http://cuttinoalexander.blogspot.com/2008/02/stalins-big-day.html

A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Thursday, February 07, 2008. I'm sure it seems strange to an American that Stalin would still be held in such regard, and I realize that so far I have written very little about the "Stalin cult" here in Gori and, to a lesser degree, in all of Georgia. We all know what Stalin did while in power. Many Georgians here in Gori recognize that, though some either deny it or play it down ("He really didn't kill. Peace Corps Georgia Blogs.

A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Since I'll be traveling, I'm planning to organize a project to help out with this work after the holidays. Hopefully by the winter we will have a better picture of the long term needs arising from this crisis. In the meantime, a group of former Peace Corps Volunteers have started an initiative to help out with the current basic needs of displaced people. You can visit their website here.

A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Tuesday, December 18, 2007. The Iowa primaries may be 16 days away, but the Georgia presidential election- two days later- promises to be way more entertaining (or is it nerve wracking. One of the "Misha Mobiles". A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Wednesday, August 13, 2008. In the meantime, the innocent civilians of Ossetia and Georgia are caught up in the crossfire. Tim in Germany!

April 14, 2007. As the title suggests, I spent the weekend in Holland. As I have no family here to share the Easter cheer, plus we all got a 4 day weekend, it was decided. I stayed with a couchsurfer. In Amsterdam, who i stayed with a few months back. It was another great CS experience. For half the weekend, the guy wasn't even home, but he seems to trust me and my friends enough to do the right thing (which we totally did). Posted by SunPowered at 10:56 AM. March 27, 2007.
